Westbourne Tower enjoyed an afternoon with our visitors, from our sister home at Southbourne Beach. Events started with our inter-community penalty shoot-out, with both GM’s in Goal, Doina and Morgyn.

After unfortunately losing 2-0 on penalties. Afternoon tea was then enjoyed in the activity room, along with a photoshoot of the winners with their cup. Then what better way to finish the afternoon with a sing-along hosted by Lyndsey our amazing activity assistant.

Today Westbourne Tower welcomed Christopher Proudley and his knowledge of the antiques market. Residents and staff brought their Silver. Gold and vases to be valued and to find out a bit more about the history of their cherished pieces! It was a really informative afternoon.

What a Day! Finding out about Croatia from our amazing activity assistant Nella. Our afternoon armchair chair travel started with passport control, boarding card check, emergency briefing then after finding your seat, for a presentation tour of all the UNESCO national parks, historic rulers, culture, and customs. Amazing vistas, we went from north to south, east to west!
We then finished off with a slice of Croatian custard Kremsnite, courtesy of our wonderful sous chef - Diana.
We can see why Croatia is in the top 10 places to visit!

Westbourne Tower Mid -Summer Garden Party was unfortunately held indoors, due to the weather! But that did not dampen our celebrations. We had vocalist Nick Sellers, who entertained us for the afternoon. We also had 2 resident birthday celebrations. Our catering staff provided the delights for our party and 2 birthday cakes!
It was lovely to see so many visitors, family and staff joining in. Let’s hope our next party in August, that the weather will be kind to us!

She really enjoys the musical entertainment they regularly provide, as well as the other interesting activities. I can relax knowing she is so well looked after, day and night.
