Each year, Ipsos MORI the independent polling specialists, undertakes a survey to find out how people feel about their GP practice.

The survey includes questions about a range of issues, such as how easy or hard it is to make an appointment at your practice, satisfaction with opening hours, the quality of care received from your GP and practice nurses, amongst other things.

You can find out how your GP surgery performed over the last 12 months and in previous years, as well as how it compared to others 👇

Be aware of buying fake medicines

NHS Thames Valley is warning people against buying medicines and medical devices from unregulated websites and other outlets.

Often these websites are not registered and sell fake or illegal products which are ineffective or contaminated and could seriously damage people’s health. In addition, outlets like beauty salons, beauticians and hairdressers may not be regulated to sell medicines like weight loss products.

Patients should only obtain medicines from regulated pharmacies or through their GP, and should always check that an online pharmacy is properly registered before making a purchase.

Nearly one in 10 people in England provide unpaid care for a family member, friend or loved one.

The government has published its first cross-government action plan for unpaid carers, focusing on helping people get recognised and supported sooner.

The Unpaid carers action plan includes new ways for carers to identify themselves through the NHS App, improved information sharing across health and care services, and a carers’ charter setting out carers’ rights.

People with a learning disability encouraged to book an annual health check.

People with a learning disability aged 14 and over, along with their families and carers, are encouraged to contact their GP practice to book an annual health check if they haven't had one in the past year.

Around 79% of people on the learning disability register in Surrey and Sussex received an annual health check over the past year. However, many people who are eligible are still missing out on these important checks.

Annual health checks help people stay well by giving them the opportunity to talk to a doctor or nurse about their physical and mental health, discuss any concerns, and access additional support where needed.

We conducted an Enter and View Revisit at The Manor Care Home in Windsor, in June 2026 to see how they had responded to our recommendations made in 2025.

We could see the changes since our visit in 2025 and the positive difference the refurbishment has made.

The new Manager is keen to make the care home feel as ‘homely’ as possible and has been proactive in terms of improving relationships with staff and the atmosphere in the home on the day we visited was calm and happy.

We would like to commend the Manager on the changes that have been made.
