🌕🌑 LUNAR ECLIPSE | 28.08.2026
THE SHADOW • THE RELEASE • THE RETURN

Today we arrive at the culmination of this powerful August Eclipse Season.

Following the Solar Eclipse of 12 August, today Earth moves between the Sun and Moon, casting her shadow across the lunar surface.

There is something deeply mystical within the science:
The Moon is literally travelling through the shadow of the Earth.

🌑 SCIENCE MEETS MYSTERY
Astronomically, eclipses occur within an eclipse season… a window of roughly 35 days when the geometry of the Sun, Earth and Moon allows eclipses to occur.

Spiritually, we can work with the months between eclipse seasons as an integration arc, carrying what is revealed now towards the next eclipse cycle in February 2027.

♓️ THE PISCES THRESHOLD
Astrologically, Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac - associated with water, surrender, dissolution, mysticism and the movement between visible and invisible worlds.

It asks:
What has reached the end of its usefulness?
What are you ready to stop carrying?
Where has devotion become self-sacrifice?
What relationship, identity, belief, soul contract or ancestral pattern cannot travel into your next chapter?

Perhaps this eclipse isn’t asking us to escape the shadow.
Perhaps it is asking us to meet it.

To listen to the body.
To enter the unseen worlds.
To receive guidance at an important crossing.
To allow what is dissolving to dissolve.

Transformation doesn’t only happen through understanding.

It happens through the body and nervous system.
Through movement. Grief. Rest. Water. Earth. Ceremony.

This isn’t simply about letting go.
It is about returning to sovereignty.

Returning spirit to body.
Returning consciousness to Earth.
Returning ourselves to what is true.

🌑 August reveals.
🌀 The months ahead integrate.
🌕 February brings another threshold.

Don’t rush the becoming.
Listen to your dreams.
Listen to your intuition.
Listen to what becomes impossible to ignore.

The Moon doesn’t lose her light when she enters Earth’s shadow.

And neither do we.

Sometimes we enter the darkness so our eyes can adjust enough to see what has always been there.

Today feels like a powerful threshold.

The Solar Eclipse meets the New Moon in Leo - the archetype of the heart, courage, creativity, authenticity and having the courage to be fully seen.

And the numerology feels beautifully aligned.
✨ 2026 → 1
A Universal Year 1, symbolising beginnings, identity, initiation and the opening of a new nine-year cycle.

✨ 12.08.2026 → 3
Expression. Creativity. Communication. Bringing what lives within us out into the world.

For me, the symbolism is powerful:
🌑 Eclipse >meeting the shadow
🦁 Leo >returning to the heart
1️⃣ ONE >beginning again
3️⃣ THREE >expressing what wants to move through us

I don’t believe we need to fear these cosmic moments or give our power away to them. I believe they can become mirrors and sacred markers of transition.

Our ancestors understood the importance of marking life’s thresholds - endings, beginnings, grief, birth, death, identity shifts and rebirth.

There is something profound about being consciously witnessed in the in-between… no longer who we were, but not quite yet who we are becoming.

This is becoming an increasingly important part of my own ceremonial work: restoring rites of passage and creating spaces where transformation can be witnessed, felt and embodied.

Because transformation isn’t something we simply think ourselves into.

We embody it.
We breathe it.
We feel it.
We move it.
We release it.
We live it.

So today I’m not reaching outside myself searching for the cosmic.

I’m going in….
Into body.
Into breath.
Into heart.
Into shadow.
Into spirit.

Because I believe spirit isn’t somewhere outside of us. Spirit moves through us.

Perhaps this eclipse isn’t asking us to become someone new.

Perhaps it is illuminating everything that has been covering who we already are.

🌀What am I ready to stop carrying?
🌀Where am I ready to stop hiding?
🌀What is my heart asking me to choose?
🌀What wants to be expressed through me now?

The light hasn’t disappeared.
It has simply been temporarily obscured.

Perhaps our own light is the same.

From shadow, we remember.
From the heart, we rise.
From spirit, we create.
Through the body, we become.
