🤩 What an amazing session at New Forest Nursing Home today!

I brought the drums out again… and WOW, did we have a laugh! 🥁😂

We started off dancing with scarves, moving along to the music and getting everyone warmed up. 🎶

Then we brought out the percussion instruments and found our rhythm together, before moving onto the drums for a proper drumming session!

There was so much laughter, energy and participation. ❤️

You could genuinely see the joy on everyone's faces as they got involved, played the instruments and enjoyed the music together.

These sessions are about so much more than just an activity. It's about connection, expression, movement, music and creating those lovely moments where everyone can simply have fun.

And today… we definitely did! 🥁💃🎶

🤩 What an amazing Peaceful Pathways session at Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare !

We moved and grooved to some seriously cool music today, Bee Gees, Fleetwood Mac and plenty of other favourites. 🎶💃🕺

Then it was time for the drums! 🥁

I brought quite a few different drums along and we had a proper drumming session. Everyone loved it!

I honestly felt a little bit like the Pied Piper… 😂

We started with just a few residents, but as the music and drumming travelled through the home, more and more people came along. Before we knew it, we'd gathered a whole group, with everyone wanting to join the music into the lounge.

It was beautiful to see so many faces joining us. ❤️

Lots of people got involved, had a go at the drums, moved to the music and simply enjoyed being together.

And I have to say… I really enjoyed myself too! 🤩

We love tuning into the rhythm of the music and power of the instrumens. It draws people together, creates connection and brings a real sense of energy and joy into the room.

A very special session at Kings Park today. 💚🥁🎶

🐾 A slightly different Helpful Hounds Community Dogs visit to Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare today.

When we arrived, quite a few residents had moved rooms, and lots of our usual faces were now upstairs.

This completely threw Umber out of sorts. By the time we eventually found everyone, she had decided that she really didn't want to see anyone!

And that's okay. ❤️

When you're working with a dog, you have to listen to their energy and respect what they're telling you. Umber wasn't feeling confident about the situation today, so there was no pressure to make her visit everyone.

Instead, she had lots of cuddles with me, or sat safely behind me while I chatted to the residents.

Sometimes being a Helpful Hound isn't about having lots of cuddles, strokes and interactions with residents.

It's about simply being present, knowing when your dog needs a little reassurance and allowing them the space to reset. 🐶💚 looking after our dogs and listening to their needs is just as important as the joy they bring to the people they visit.

Well done Umber for telling me what you needed today. 🥰🐾

🎶 What a beautiful, busy session at Great Oaks Care Home Bournemouth today!

We had 15+ residents joining us for the Peaceful Pathways Movement, Music & Massage group session, and what a lively session it was! 😍

The room was full of the sounds of great 70s music, laughter and LOTS of percussion instruments. 🥁🎶

It was especially lovely to have visiting family members join in too. Everyone got involved, having a go at the different instruments, playing along and enjoying the music together.

After all that energy, we slowed things down with a relaxing hand massage using beautiful oils, giving everyone a chance to unwind and enjoy some peaceful time.

There was so much laughter, connection and joy in the room today. ❤️

These are the sessions I love, a little bit of music, movement, creativity, touch and connection, all bringing people together and creating happy moments.

What a lovely afternoon at Great Oaks! 💚 Thank you!

🎶 A beautiful Movement, Music & Massage session at Merceode Lodge Care Home today.

It was especially lovely to see so many new residents joining the group and becoming part of the session.

We spent time moving, making music, connecting and sharing a few laughs together before bringing things to a calmer close with relaxing massage.

Every session is different, and everyone participates in their own way, whether that's moving, playing an instrument, singing along, chatting, or simply enjoying the atmosphere.

It's these small moments of connection, joy and belonging that make the work I do with Peaceful Pathways so meaningful. 💚

🐾 A lovely visit to Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare with Umber, my wonderful Helpful Hounds Community Dogs dog. 🐶

Umber spent time wandering around the home, saying hello to residents and doing what she does best, bringing smiles, comfort and plenty of opportunities for cuddles and fuss!

There is something so special about the way dogs connect with people. A gentle stroke can lead to a conversation, bring back a memory of a much-loved family dog or simply create a beautiful moment of companionship.

Umber takes it all in her stride and seems to know exactly who needs a little extra time and attention. ❤️

Thank you to the wonderful team at Kings Park for welcoming us and allowing Umber to do her very important work.

Helpful Hounds really do bring a little extra happiness wherever they go. 🐾✨

🎶 Another wonderful session at Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare a beautiful Barchester home.

Residents came together for our Peaceful Pathways Movement, Music & Massage Session, with plenty of movement, music, laughter and connection.

We explored rhythm and percussion, moved along to the music and enjoyed being playful together. It's always lovely to see residents encouraging each other and getting involved in their own way.

After all the fun and energy, we slowed things down with relaxing massage, creating a peaceful end to the session.

Another lovely afternoon of movement, music, connection and wellbeing. 🌿✨

💚🎶 Another beautiful session at Whitecliffe House Care Home today.

I've been visiting this wonderful home for around three years now, and it has become such a special part of my week. It's always a joy to spend time with the ladies and gents here, sharing music, movement, laughter and meaningful moments together.

Over the years we've built so many lovely connections, and it's a privilege to see familiar faces, hear their stories and watch friendships continue to grow within the group.

Thank you to everyone at Whitecliffe House for always making me feel so welcome. I truly love spending time with you all. 💚

🎶🌿 What a lovely Movement, Music & Massage session at Merceode Lodge Care Home this week.

The resident group is continuing to grow, and it was wonderful to see such a great turnout. The room was filled with laughter, smiles and plenty of participation as everyone joined in with the movement and music.

The movement flowed beautifully, with residents moving at their own pace and enjoying being part of the group. There was a lovely sense of connection and community throughout the session.

We finished with relaxing massages and beautiful scents, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere for everyone to unwind and enjoy a moment of wellbeing.

A wonderful session from start to finish. 💚✨

🎶🌿 We had a wonderful Peaceful Pathways Movement, Music & Massage session on Floor 2 at Kings Park Care Home - Barchester Healthcare , with residents joining us from across the home to move, groove, play instruments and relax together. 💚

It was lovely to see such a mix of people coming together, sharing laughter, music and conversation. Residents enjoyed exploring some of my instruments from around the world, each one sparking curiosity, memories and stories.

As we chatted about the different countries the instruments came from, the conversation naturally turned to travel. We shared memories of adventures near and far and all agreed that travelling has a wonderful way of expanding the mind and opening us up to new experiences.

After all the music and movement, we gently slowed down and relaxed, bringing a peaceful end to a joyful session.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a special afternoon. ✨
