We had some very special visitors yesterday! 🦙

We were delighted to welcome the lovely Caramac and Liquorice, two beautiful alpacas, into Great Oaks! 🥰

Residents and relatives gave them both a very warm welcome, with plenty of gentle strokes and lots of questions about our new furry friends. It was wonderful to see everyone getting up close, learning more about them and enjoying such an unusual visit.

Thank you, Caramac and Liquorice, for stopping by and making our day that little bit more special. We look forward to welcoming you both back again soon! 💛🦙

It’s bingo time! 🥳😍

Yesterday, our residents came together for a fun-filled game of bingo, with plenty of laughter, smiles and a little friendly competition along the way!

Everyone was listening carefully for that all-important number, hoping to be the first to shout BINGO! A lovely afternoon spent together, with plenty of laughs along the way. 💛

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome the wonderful singer and entertainer Bee to our home for a fantastic afternoon of live music! 💛

Residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to a selection of familiar and well-loved songs, with plenty of singing along, dancing and smiles along the way.

It was lovely to see everyone coming together and enjoying the music. Thank you, Bee, for such a wonderful visit! 🎤✨ We look forward to seeing you again! 🏡😍

We’ve been making the most of the lovely weather at Great Oaks! ☀️🌿

Our garden has been keeping us busy, with residents tending to the chickens, picking fresh raspberries and getting stuck into tidying up the flower beds.

There’s always something to be done outside at this time of year, although we’re not sure how many of the raspberries actually made it back inside! 🍓🐔 😍

We had a brilliant afternoon at Great Oaks last week when Chay came along to entertain us! 🎶

It didn’t take long before everyone was joining in, with plenty of singing and dancing throughout the afternoon. One of our residents even picked up the guitar and played along, which was great to see! 🎸

A little something for our four-legged visitors! 🐾 At Great Oaks, we know that pets are part of the family too. 💛

That's why we've created our very own Puppy Pad! A cosy little welcome station where visiting dogs can enjoy a fresh drink of water, a tasty treat and even a comfy spot to relax while they visit their loved ones.

We absolutely love welcoming wagging tails through our doors, and it's the little touches like this that help make Great Oaks feel like home for the whole family. 🐶✨

💍♥️A very special moment for Derek♥️💍

Our resident Derek's granddaughter Sophie got married last week, but unfortunately the journey was too far for him to travel and be there for her special day.

Sophie just had one special wish - a photo with her Grandad. So today, we did our best to recreate a little bit of her of wedding day, giving her the chance to have that precious photo with Derek 🥰📸

It was a beautiful and very special moment for everyone involved.

Yesterday was such a wonderful day! 🎉We celebrated our lovely Larry's 98th birthday with lots of smiles, laughter and birthday cheer 🥳🎂

We were also entertained by High Pine Music 🎶 where everyone had a fantastic time playing instruments, singing along and dancing together. It was a day full of fun, music and special memories. 💃💙

Today, we had a wonderful session with Jackie and her therapy dog Brambles.🐾

They showed our residents some fantastic tricks and even demonstrated some dog agility! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed watching especially with their families joining in and sharing the experience. 🧡
