Thank you all so much for your support over the summer. We are having the week off this week.
The September block of yoga starts next Monday at Wickham Hall.
The Monday class is a very accessible class, with plenty of options for anyone who would benefit from using a chair, while still being suitable for those practising mat-based yoga.
Tomorrow sees the launch of the Home Practice Package. Do let me know if you would like to sign up or simply have a go at this new option for practising in the comfort of your own home.
Throughout September, we will be exploring the theme of Embracing Change Whilst Keeping the Heart Open. I will be weaving this theme around some of the beautiful meditations from the Radiance Sutras, with soft, flowing postures that move gently with the breath. We will explore how we can meet change with openness, curiosity and compassion, while remaining connected to a sense of steadiness within.

If you are planning on coming to the Monday session this week, please be aware the venue will be different and we will be in the Riverside centre hall instead, for this week only.
All other classes are running as usual and this week sees the final sessions of our block exploring strength and stability. If you have missed classes and need to make some up, do feel free to attend more than one class if you want to.

This week we will be looking at the Atma - the aspect of you which is in contact with pure beingness - sometimes we are able to have a 'glimpse' of this, your personal connection to existence itself. The inherent power of your soul is beingness - you are already grounded and whole. We can use our physical practice this week to be able to feel life flowing through us which can then help us come towards some stiller practices including a yoga Nidra this week.

There are drop in spaces in the classes but all holistic therapy spots are full this week.

I have one space for 1:1 yoga, massage or reflexology this Wednesday (19th August) at 1.30pm.
My 1:1 yoga sessions offer a gentle, individual approach to yoga, shaped around your own needs, abilities and intentions. Drawing on my yoga teaching experience and recent Yoga Therapy Foundation training, we can explore mindful movement, breathing practices, relaxation and simple techniques to support greater balance and wellbeing.

Sessions may be particularly helpful if you have limited mobility, are living with ongoing health challenges, feel anxious or overwhelmed, or simply want some individual guidance and space to reconnect with yourself.

60-minute 1:1 session – £45

Continuing our theme of strength and stability for this yoga block, this week we will explore vairagya or detachment. Sometimes the ultimate strength is letting go. Releasing our grip on outcomes and expectations. Remembering that the ego part of the mind wants everything under control - always trying to keep us safe, but yoga reminding us this isn't the whole picture.
Stability means your peace of mind doesn't entirely depend on everything being perfect and sometimes strength isn't always holding on tightly but letting go.

We are on the 6th class out of our 7 week block this week. There is room to drop in to most of the classes.
Next Monday 24th August - yoga will be in the Riverside Centre instead of Wickham Hall as the hall was already booked on this date.
There is no yoga Monday 31st August, Tuesday 1st Sept or Friday 4th Sept.
The new block commences on Monday 7th Sept.

Looking forward to seeing you to practice together if you can make it, otherwise wishing you a good week ahead.

I hope this finds you well as we head into another heat wave...
This week in yoga classes we continue our theme of strength and stability, exploring Prana Shakti — the primal, forward-moving force of life itself.
Through the breath, we can begin to really connect to and allow this life force to flow more freely and effortlessly.
We will continue to use the conscious breathing practice of exhaling like a river flowing towards the infinite ocean.
Rather than forcing, striving or clinging, we practise softening and allowing. As the breath settles, we may be able to create space for greater inner peace, mental clarity and emotional stability, helping us to feel more steady.
Meditation Group — Wednesday evening - Earlier Time!
Due to the solar eclipse, our online meditation group will be at an earlier time:
Wednesday 6.00–6.30pm — online and free of charge. Please message me if you would like to be added to the email for this (and are not already on the group email list)
We will sit quietly together and I will lead a beautiful lake meditation which we will also use in class this week.
Holistic therapies
All massage, reflexology and Reiki appointments are fully booked this week. Thank you so much for your support. I still have a few spaces left for later in August should you wish to book.

As we continue our theme of strength and stability, this week's classes will explore the beautiful yoga teaching of Sthira Sukham Asanam – finding steadiness with ease.
Strength doesn't have to mean being rigid. Resilience comes from balancing strength with softness, flexibility and adaptability. Just as a tree stands strong because it can sway with the wind, we find greater stability when we can soften as well as strengthen.
When body and mind become balanced, we create the space to experience the quiet stillness that yoga points us towards.
I'm also looking forward to sharing a gentle chair yoga session with the bereavement group at Rowcroft this week. It's always a treat to see how yoga can bring comfort, connection and calm.
This week's availability:
• One appointment for massage, reflexology or Reiki on Tuesday 4th August at 11:30am.
• Spaces available in Monday and Tuesday yoga classes.
• Friday morning class is currently full. If you have already said you are coming to the Friday morning class that is no problem.

I'm so pleased to have completed my Yoga Therapy Foundation Course!

After 20 years as a nurse, and now as a yoga teacher and holistic therapist, I love supporting people in a way that looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.

This course has deepened my understanding of the connection between the body, breath, mind and nervous system and yoga philosophy enriching both my yoga teaching and my massage and reflexology treatments.

I absolutely love learning, taking courses and refining my knowledge and skills for my own wellbeing and so I can better support those who come to my classes and treatments.
