People often ask me why I love my job so much 🤍

And honestly… it’s because no two days are ever the same.

One day I may be supporting someone with stress and anxiety, the next helping somebody struggling with sleep, hormonal changes, pain, fertility journeys, exhaustion or simply feeling overwhelmed by life.

What I love most is helping people feel heard, supported and looked after.

Sometimes clients come in carrying far more than just physical symptoms. Life, stress, emotions, grief, pressure and exhaustion all affect the body, and I love being able to create a calm space where people can finally switch off for a while.

I also love that my work never stops evolving. I’m always learning, studying and deepening my understanding of the body, nervous system, hormones, wellbeing and holistic health.

Being trusted with people’s health and wellbeing is something I never take for granted.

Seeing somebody walk out feeling calmer, lighter, sleeping better or simply saying “I finally relaxed” genuinely means a lot to me 🌿

After working in holistic therapies since the 1990s and acupuncture for many years, I still feel grateful that this is what I get to do every day.

Where are you living most of the time…
The past, the present or the future? 🤍

So many people spend their days:
✨ Replaying the past
✨ Worrying about the future
✨ Overthinking conversations
✨ Anticipating problems that haven’t even happened yet

Meanwhile the nervous system stays constantly alert, tense and overstimulated.

Living too much in the past may bring:
• Regret
• Sadness
• Anger
• Emotional heaviness

Living too much in the future may bring:
• Anxiety
• Stress
• Fear
• Feeling overwhelmed

But the body functions best when we can spend more time in the present moment.

That doesn’t mean ignoring responsibilities or pretending life is perfect. It means creating moments where the body and mind feel safe enough to slow down.

As someone who spends my days helping others feel their best, I’ve learned that I need a few non-negotiables to keep my own cup topped up too. ❤️

🌿 Regular reflexology and I go to
💪 Prioritising protein
🌱 Flaxseeds every day
😴 Good quality sleep
📺 A little bit of junk TV to switch off my busy brain
🤸‍♀️ Stretching and movement
👟 Comfy shoes (my feet work hard!)
🩲 Comfy underwear (because life’s too short for uncomfortable knickers!)
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Time with my family

None of these are glamorous. None of them are revolutionary. But together they help me feel grounded, energised and able to show up as the best version of myself.

Getting through the day on:

Are you actually drinking enough water? 💧

So many people are walking around mildly dehydrated and don’t even realise it.

Headaches, tiredness, brain fog, dry skin, constipation, dizziness, cravings and fatigue can sometimes simply be linked to not drinking enough fluids.

The body relies on water for:
✨ Circulation
✨ Digestion
✨ Temperature regulation
✨ Joint health
✨ Energy production
✨ Brain function
✨ Detoxification

How much is enough?

A general guide for many adults is around:
💧 1.5–2 litres per day
…and often more in hot weather, during exercise, menopause, illness, travel or if drinking caffeine/alcohol.

Tea and coffee do contribute to fluid intake, but many people still benefit from increasing plain water intake too.

A few signs you may need more water:
🌿 Dark urine
🌿 Feeling tired or sluggish
🌿 Dry mouth or skin
🌿 Headaches
🌿 Feeling hungry all the time
🌿 Poor concentration

Simple ways to improve hydration:
💧 Start the day with water before caffeine
💧 Carry a water bottle
💧 Add lemon, mint or cucumber if plain water feels boring
