❀️🚁 Thank You, Martin Great Western Air Ambulance Charity ! 🚁❀️

We were delighted to welcome Martin from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) back to Wiltshire Heights, who came in to say a huge thank you for the money we raised for the charity last year.

Martin shared how vital community fundraising is in keeping this life-saving service in the air, and how everyone can help β€” whether through donations, fundraising events, volunteering, or simply spreading the word about the incredible work they do. πŸ™

Every penny raised helps GWAAC reach people in their most critical moments β€” thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising and helped make a difference! πŸ’›

🌱🌸 Choice. Voice. Independence. 🌸🌱

Our residents visited Lowden Garden Centre to choose the plants and flowers for our garden - and that choice matters.

Too often, decisions get made for people in care. We believe our residents have every right to make decisions about their own environment, their own space, and how they spend their time. Real person-centred care means real choice, not just consultation.

Their garden, their vision. πŸ’›

🐾 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐾

Here at Wiltshire Heights, we are a proud doggy-friendly home! Every four-legged visitor is welcomed with our very own doggy diner, complete with treats and a bowl of water waiting right at the door.

For so many of our residents, dogs have been a part of life for as long as they can remember. Many grew up with a beloved family dog by their side, and went on to have dogs of their own throughout their lives, faithful companions through every chapter. Moving into care often means having to say goodbye to that daily companionship, and for many residents that's a real loss to adjust to.

That's exactly why being a dog-friendly home matters so much to us. When a familiar wagging tail trots through the door, we see faces light up and old memories come flooding back, of family pets, long walks and quiet evenings with a dog curled up nearby. A few minutes stroking a soft ear or having a cold nose nudge a hand can bring real comfort, joy and a sense of connection that's hard to put into words. It's a small thing that makes a big difference, and we're endlessly grateful to the visitors and their dogs who bring that joy into our home.

Our residents adore a wagging tail and a wet nose popping in for a visit, so today we're celebrating some of our favourite doggy regulars:🐢 Juno 🐢 Millie 🐢 Muffin 🐢 Red 🐢 Roo 🐢 Roots 🐢 Ruby 🐢 Milly and Freddy 🐢 Solomon

Thank you to all our doggy visitors and their humans for brightening up our home! If you're ever visiting with your pup, you know where to find the treats. πŸ•πŸ’•
