DID YOU KNOW?
When choosing a healthcare professional, qualifications are only part of the picture.
At Yorkshire Sports Therapy, I am proud to be:
✅ MSc Sports Rehabilitation
✅ BASRaT Registered (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers)
✅ Registered on a Professional Standards Authority (PSA) Accredited Register
BASRaT is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), the same organisation that oversees statutory healthcare regulators such as the HCPC.
What is the Professional Standards Authority (PSA)?
The Professional Standards Authority is an independent organisation, accountable to Parliament, that oversees Accredited Registers for healthcare professionals who are not regulated by the HCPC.
Its role is to help protect the public by promoting high professional standards, improving safety and providing reassurance when choosing a healthcare practitioner.
What does this mean for you?
✔️ Master’s level healthcare education and professional training
✔️ Registration with a recognised professional body
✔️ Adherence to a professional Code of Conduct and Standards of Practice
✔️ Ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to keep knowledge and skills up to date
✔️ Professional indemnity insurance
✔️ Fitness to practise, complaints and disciplinary procedures
✔️ Ethical, evidence-informed assessment, treatment and rehabilitation
✔️ A commitment to patient safety, accountability and high-quality care
Choosing a healthcare professional isn’t just about experience—it’s about education, professional standards, accountability and public protection.
Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing pain, returning to sport or improving your health and performance, you deserve to know your practitioner is committed to maintaining recognised professional standards.
Your health deserves professional standards.
Always check that your healthcare professional is appropriately qualified and registered with the relevant professional body or statutory regulator where applicable.
