Hi everyone,
I've just launched a CPD course I've been building for a while — Building Confidence in Private Practice: Preparing to Work with Risk.
The honest reason I made it: I couldn't find anything that didn't just leave me feeling more anxious. Most risk training gives you the information but not the confidence. I wanted to change that — something approachable, practical, and specifically for private practitioners rather than NHS teams.
It covers everything from recognising risk through to safety planning, documentation, therapist wellbeing, and case vignettes — with 12 downloadable templates and resources you can actually use in practice.
One of my first completers described it as "feeling like a supportive arm around the shoulder" — which I think sums up what I was going for!
To celebrate the launch I'm offering 20% off for the first 20 people using the code TWENTY20 at checkout.

AI can support reflection.
Therapy supports relationship.
AI can help you find words.
Therapy helps you understand what they mean.
If you’re feeling ready to explore what’s been on your mind — but unsure whether that means in-person, online, or email sessions — you don’t have to decide everything straight away.
The format matters less than the connection.
We can begin with an introductory email, phone call, or message — whatever feels most comfortable.

Have you tried using AI to share your thoughts and feelings?
It can help organise your thoughts.
It can offer perspective.
But it cannot sit with you.
It cannot hold emotional nuance.
It cannot build a therapeutic relationship.
If you’re not ready to speak out loud, email counselling offers something different.
Human.
Reflective.
Professional.
On your terms.

"Stress is a bit like rain 🌧 — it’s natural, it’s always going to happen… and in small amounts, it even helps us grow. But when it keeps pouring without a break, our glass fills up fast.

The trick? Find ways to let some of it out regularly — before it overflows. That might mean talking it out, moving your body, getting creative, or just taking a proper breather.

We can’t stop the rain, but we can make sure it doesn’t flood us. 💧
What’s your go-to healthy coping strategy? Drop it in the comments — you might inspire someone else today. 💬"

In counselling, confidentiality isn’t just policy — it’s respect.
Your trust matters more to me than public praise. That’s why I don’t often share direct feedback, even though I’m deeply grateful for it.
What I’m often told matters most is:
Feeling calm.
Feeling heard.
Feeling safe enough to open up.
Leaving sessions feeling lighter.
That’s what I aim to offer — whether in person, online, or by email.
If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need to know exactly what it will look like. You just need to feel safe enough to begin.

Therapy isn't about being assessed or judged. It's about having someone sit with you — genuinely curious about who you are, what you carry, and what matters to you.
That's the kind of space I try to offer.

If you've been thinking about counselling but weren't sure what to expect, feel free to get in touch or visit the link in my bio.

When you're a carer, it's easy for your own needs to disappear into the background.
If the person you care for is ok, everything feels ok. But that's a lot to carry — especially if you don't have somewhere, or someone, to open up to yourself.
Caring for someone doesn't mean you can't take time for you. And when you do, it can benefit you both.

If you're a carer who's been putting yourself last, I'd love to hear from you. Visit the link in my bio or get in touch directly.

Those thoughts you want to explore with someone. Those moments you want to make sense of.
Sometimes it can feel really hard to open up when you're in your own space — online or over the phone. And if seeing the person you're sharing with feels like too much while you're still working things out...
Maybe email counselling is more your thing.
You write when you're ready. There's no pressure to respond in the moment. Just space to think, feel, and be heard — in your own time.

Curious about how email counselling works? Visit the link in my bio to find out more.

Maybe you suspect you have ADHD. Maybe you've had a diagnosis as an adult and you're wondering — what now?
Maybe it's left you looking back at your life and questioning things differently. Relationships, work, school, the way you've always felt a bit out of step.
You don't have to figure that out alone. We can explore it together and try to make sense of it — at your pace, in your own words.

If ADHD — diagnosed or suspected — is something you'd like to explore in counselling, get in touch or visit the link in my bio.
