For the first time in 30 years…I’m not preparing a son for September🤍
For three decades, this time of year has always been marked by new school shoes, labels sewn into uniforms, forms to fill in and the excitement (and sometimes the chaos!) of a new school year.
It wasn’t always easy, and I know there were days I wished for a little more peace and quiet. But looking back now, I’d happily do every school run, every forgotten PE kit and every last-minute homework panic all over again.
Nobody prepares you for the day those routines quietly come to an end.
Motherhood has a funny way of constantly asking us to let go of one chapter while embracing the next. It’s beautiful, but it’s bittersweet too.
So if you’re in the thick of juggling everything and counting down until the holidays are over...just know that one day you’ll miss it more than you ever imagined.
Life moves on whether we’re ready or not.
And today, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for every chapter we’ve shared. 🤍
