August is "Happiness Month" and there are many simple ways to take part:
Keep a happiness journal and note one thing that made you happy each day

Share your happy moments openly, telling friends, family or colleagues about something that went well.

Perform a small act of kindness, from giving up your seat to checking in on someone who lives alone.

Reach out to a friend you have not spoken to in a while and share some good news.

Plan a shared meal, given how strongly eating together is linked with wellbeing.

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) usually involves a persistent feeling of anxiety or dread, which can interfere with daily life. It is not the same as occasionally worrying about things or
experiencing anxiety due to stressful life events.

People living with GAD experience frequent anxiety for months, if not years. If you think you may be suffering from GAD please get in contact to discuss the various options (courses, online CBT or 1-1 sessions) we can offer at Bradford Talking Therapy to help you manage these feelings.

Did you know that more than half of children's car seats checked across West Yorkshire last year were not fitted correctly?

A car seat that is correctly fitted can make a huge difference in keeping children safe on the road.

To help families travel safely, Vision Zero and Good Egg Safety CIC are offering free child car seat check events across West Yorkshire. The checks take just a few minutes by experts who will make sure your seat is fitted correctly.

• 27 August 11am-4pm: Asda, Manor Lane, Shipley.
• 10 September 11am-4pm: South Hawksworth Street Car Park, Ilkley.
• 15 October 10am-3pm: Asda, Rooley Lane, Bradford.
• 12 November 10am-3pm: Sedbergh Youth & Community Centre, Odsal.

No need to book, just pop along for a quick check and help keep your little ones safe on every journey.
