🐾 Boss & his Brother Hugo 🐾

Boss has been receiving weekly ✨️ Class IV Laser Therapy ✨️ treatments to help support him with his long-term osteoarthritis.

Whilst laser therapy can’t fix or reverse osteoarthritis, it can be a really useful part of managing chronic OA and helping our older patients stay as comfortable and mobile as possible. 💙

Laser therapy may help to:

✨ Reduce inflammation
✨ Support circulation and blood flow
✨ Encourage cellular repair
✨ Reduce muscle tension and secondary soft tissue discomfort

🌊 Aqua Paws Wellness Centre 🌊 have also been helping support Boss with weekly pool sessions. Laser therapy and hydrotherapy work really well hand in hand, helping to support both his comfort and mobility as part of his ongoing management. 💦🐾

For patients like Boss, the aim isn't to cure the arthritis, it's about supporting comfort, strength, mobility and quality of life through appropriate ongoing management 💙

Ruby enjoys regular Class IV laser therapy sessions to help support her arthritic joints and keep her feeling as comfortable and mobile as possible. Laser therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that can help reduce pain and inflammation while promoting healing, making it a great addition to the management of arthritis.

Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, helping dogs like Ruby continue to enjoy their daily walks, playtime, and quality of life.

Isn't he just the most handsome boy? Xander is such a fabulous patient and always a pleasure to treat.

He has been visiting Blue Skies Veterinary Physiotherapy for maintenance treatment following a previous stifle injury, helping to address compensatory movement patterns and keep him feeling strong, comfortable, and mobile. 🐾 Exciting CPD Update! 🐾

I'm delighted to share that I have successfully completed the Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) Veterinary Practitioner Course! 🐕💙

This advanced training has deepened my understanding of canine osteoarthritis, including:

✔️ Early identification of arthritis signs
✔️ Understanding the different types of pain associated with osteoarthritis
✔️ Evidence-based multimodal management approaches
✔️ Supporting dogs through every stage of their arthritis journey
✔️ Helping owners improve their dog's comfort, mobility, and quality of life

Arthritis affects many dogs, often impacting their mobility long before obvious signs are noticed. By continuing to invest in professional development, I can provide the most up-to-date physiotherapy support and work alongside veterinary teams to help dogs stay active, comfortable, and happy for as long as possible.

To celebrate her special day, Mabel enjoyed a maintenance physiotherapy session, complete with lots of massage, her absolute favourite! 🐾💙
