WHAT A WEEK THAT WAS….
Spent the last 5 days working on the Soccer Aid challenge with Olly Murs, helping look after him physically while he took on a brutal 400km mix of running, rowing and cycling all the way from Manchester to Stratford, raising money for UNICEF and children across the world.
I watched the full rollercoaster of it all. 12–16 hour days out in the rain, sleet, wind, and the very occasional bit of sunshine.
Having treated Olly for some time, I already knew his mindset was strong, but I was genuinely in awe of his resilience and determination under some really tough challenges.
A man who has had 5 operations on his left knee, had it broken and reset twice, and still has some pretty impressive metalwork inside the joint…We managed things as they arose, and he just kept going, still bringing his positive energy!
He absolutely SMASHED IT.
Having never done anything like this before, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but the whole team were so welcoming, kind and helpful throughout. I met some wonderful people!
Great to work alongside John Green (physio) and Greg Marriott (nutritionist too). Greg kept us all fuelled and laughing… and yes, he’s the one singing in the clip 👌🏼😂
