What a brilliant morning with RISE!The indoor seated sports session brought out everyone’s competitive side, with plenty of cheering, teamwork, and determination on display.

From aiming for the perfect throw to celebrating every success, the room was filled with energy and laughter. It’s amazing how a simple activity can bring people together, encourage movement, and create moments that everyone enjoys.
Even had Dave a relative join in this week!
Here’s to staying active, embracing every challenge, and making memories along the way. 💙🏅

🎶🎤 Sing and dance along… because why not?! 💃🕺❤️

What a truly brilliant morning we’ve had! 🥰 Music is such a wonderful part of life here at the care home — it brings us together, lifts our spirits and creates those precious moments of connection. 🎵✨

We enjoyed lots of seated dancing 💃 as well as getting up and having a little boogie! 🕺 There were smiles, singing and plenty of happy feet moving along to the music. 😍🎶

For our residents living with dementia, music can be particularly meaningful, helping to spark memories, encourage engagement and create moments of joy and connection. 💕🌸

And to all our wonderful families, we hope you can see from moments like these just how much your loved ones are cared for, cherished and included. ❤️ They are surrounded by people who genuinely love every part of them, seeing them smile, laugh, sing and enjoy every moment. 🥰🏡

🧘‍♀️✨ What a brilliant morning of yoga with the wonderful Nikki! ✨🧘‍♀️

Our residents absolutely LOVE it every single time Nikki comes to visit! 💕 From stretching and smiling to a few moves that definitely had us questioning whether our bodies still work 😂🤣 — there were plenty of laughs along the way!

Nikki always brings such positive energy, and it’s safe to say our residents were bending, breathing and giggling their way through the morning! 🌸💪😄

We couldn’t recommend Nikki more — everyone looks forward to her visits, and we can’t wait for the next one! 🥰🧘‍♂️💖

💜 Celebrating Our Outstanding Dementia Training Award 💜

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Westgate Healthcare has received the Outstanding Dementia Training Award from

This special recognition celebrates our commitment to high-quality dementia training and our ongoing investment in developing our teams’ knowledge, understanding and confidence when supporting people living with dementia.

For us, learning is an important part of providing great dementia care. By continuing to develop our understanding, we can better recognise each person as an individual, support their independence and wellbeing, and create meaningful moments and experiences every day.

A huge congratulations and thank you to our Learning and Development Manager, Maria, whose passion for dementia care and dedication to dementia training has helped make this achievement possible. 👏

We were going to make a lovely little exercise video… but someone forgot to tell us we were supposed to video with the camera! 😂

We were far too busy putting the chairs through their paces! 🪑💪🤣

Arms up, legs moving and absolutely no chance of getting out of exercise this week ! 😜

Fitness level: questionable.
Determination: 10/10.
Excuses: still under investigation. 😂👏

we swapped the paper plates for fishbowls and let our creativity take over! 🎨 From colourful fish and seaweed to bubbles and underwater treasures, our residents created their own little worlds under the sea. 🌊🐟
