Happy Monday 😊

Monday's is our favourite day, so many happy faces in the room as we played a couple of games of bingo. We had lots of bingo winners today, well done Ray, Betty, Brian and Babs 👏😀
Residents enjoyed a group read and discussion of the weekly digest newsletter, with our volunteer Valerie today's topic was all about wellness month.

This afternoon we have been busy bees, we have been making our own flower and bee display. We have been making apple and honey buntings, wildflower flower displays, and coloured in pictures of apples 🐝💐🍎

We are delighted to invite you to our very own Apple and Honey Festival at Bradbury House from 2pm-4pm 🍎 🐝

We will be joined by Jan van de Pol, a local beekeeper who will be setting up a stool to sell his Honey, and he will be doing a small talk about being a beekeeper 🐝🐝

Join us as we come together to celebrate the wonderful flavours and traditions that make dining so special in our care home. It promises to be a fantastic afternoon filled with delicious seasonal food, family-friendly entertainment, and great company.

This morning residents gathered around the tables in the garden, enjoying a cuppa and biscuits for our monthly residents' meeting. It was fantastic to see everyone sharing great feedback and brainstorming some incredibly exciting ideas for our upcoming activities and day trips out!

🎨 Afternoon Arts & Crafts 🎨

The creativity continued into the afternoon with a fantastic eco-friendly arts and crafts session. Our talented residents worked together to build a beautiful beehive using recycled cardboard and toilet rolls. We finished it off by cutting out our own little bees to buzz around the hive!💛🐝

🎶 A Day Full of Music, Games, and Laughter!

We kicked off our morning with a 20 minute seated exercise session with Stephan. The room was full of energy as everyone loved moving and singing along to the music!

Next, our residents and staff teamed up for a lively "Finish the Lyrics" music quiz. Everyone had a blast testing their musical memory, scoring an incredible 19 out of 20! 🏆🎶

The fun continued into the afternoon with a classic games session. Tabletop favourites like Shut the Box, Tiddlywinks, and Cowboy Snap brought so much joy and endless laughter to the room. 😅

Our ladies enjoyed a morning of pampering having their hair and nails done 💇‍♀️💅

We then took part in a group category quiz in the lounge answering questions on oceans, pets and 70s Trivia.

This afternoon we enjoyed a trip out to the Braintree public gardens, where we enjoyed a walk around the gardens. we stopped off at the care for drinks and ice creams while enjoying the beautiful sunshine🥤🍦🌞
