As a pelvic health physio, I spend a lot of time helping people through symptoms that can feel frustrating, overwhelming, and sometimes a little depressing.

But movement doesn’t always have to be serious.

Having fun with exercise is important too. Not every workout needs a goal, a plan, or a perfect technique. Sometimes it’s about laughing, trying something new, and enjoying what your body can do.

My son and I had so much fun with this peanut ball in the garden ❤️ who else likes goofing about ?!

If you’ve had a C-section, this is your reminder that scar therapy isn’t just about how your scar looks.

Many mums are told that numbness, pulling, tightness, sensitivity, itching, discomfort or that “shelf” above the scar are things they simply have to live with.

They aren’t.

Your scar is part of a much bigger story involving your skin, fascia, muscles, nerves and the way your body moves and feels after birth.

Scar therapy can help improve mobility, reduce sensitivity, ease discomfort, and help you reconnect with an area of your body that many women avoid touching after surgery.

And no, it’s never “too late.”

Whether your C-section was 6 months ago or 16 years ago, there are often things we can do to help.

As a pelvic health physio and scar therapist, I’m passionate about helping women understand their scars, their bodies and their recovery.

Did you know that new scars have very little natural UV protection? ☀️

Scar tissue is different from normal skin and is much more sensitive to sunlight while it’s healing. Without proper protection, UV exposure can cause scars to darken, stay red for longer, or become more noticeable over time.

The first 6–12 months are especially important for scar healing, which is why daily SPF, covering the area when possible, and protecting fresh scars from direct sun can make a huge difference in long-term healing and appearance ✨

Healing skin deserves protection too 🤍

Who wants to be strong, fit and be able to cope with the demands of life?

Maybe it’s simply leaving the house without fearing of leaking or maybe it’s getting back to running.

For me I train so I can up with my boys as well as enjoying the North Devon trails and horse riding.
You don’t need to be sporty, you don’t need to have a wash board tummy you just need to want to make changes.

Who’s in ?
If you want someone who doesn’t judge you but guides you along with gentleness working towards your goals then please do reach out. I offer face to face appointments as well as virtual pelvic health assessments. Don’t let incontinence or propose symptoms stop you!
