This is a great, thought provoking post from HWB Mobility
Loneliness doesn’t always look like being alone.
Sometimes it looks like a kettle that hasn’t been boiled all day.
A chair that never moves.
A phone that never rings.
Across our communities, thousands of older people go days — sometimes weeks — without meaningful conversation. Not because they want to be alone, but because life quietly changed around them.
A partner passed away.
Family moved further away.
Health made getting out harder.
A simple hello, a short visit, or even a quick phone call can mean more than we realise.
