What can you expect to see when walking into a creative psychotherapy room - see video 😊
The term ‘psychotherapy’ often come with a perceived perception which can be intimidating for many clients and/or parents. Creative psychotherapy is about providing the individual with a space of their own where they feel comfortable, safe and welcomed, enhancing the likelihood of them exploring, building trusting relationships and accessing the support provided by practitioners.
This video is just a little example of the type of set up you might see, but is adapted specifically to each individual I work with. My sessions are predominately client led, allowing the individual to share and use their own preferences, hobbies and interests within sessions, meaning interventions are planned specifically them.
The rooms at Bridge the Gap Child Mental Health C.I.C provide a comforting and welcoming space for me to hold these sessions, as seen in this post. I currently have a couple of spaces available at bridge the gap on a Friday so if you would like to book an assessment call, please use the link in my bio. To find out more, feel free to get in contact through the contacts in my bio and see previous/upcoming posts about what dance movement psychotherapy is. Thank you 😊
P.S. sorry for the small writing 😅
