Open Mental Health run various courses for adults wanting to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Take a look at their website for what's going on, including 'Ways to Wellbeing' and 'Managing Your Emotions' courses!

Many of us look for gentle ways to improve our mental wellbeing, whether that is picking up a new skill or simply finding a space to meet new people. Our Open Mental Health partners run a variety of free online groups and courses designed to offer that sense of community we sometimes miss when things are tough.

There is a lot to choose from, including workshops to help us manage our emotions, arts and crafts, and even games. We find that having these small, regular connections can make a big difference.

Take a look at our website to find a group that feels right for you:

People experiencing ADHD symptoms in Somerset can now access ConnectPlus, a free digital app designed to provide trusted information, practical tools and personalised support throughout their care journey.

Developed in partnership with clinicians from our Adult ADHD Service and technology partner HCI, ConnectPlus is the first app of its kind to be implemented by an adult ADHD service in England.

The app helps users:

βœ… Understand ADHD symptoms and related conditions
βœ… Access trusted information and myth busting content
βœ… Track appointments and take notes
βœ… Explore personalised care pathways
βœ… Find support for mental health, wellbeing and financial advice
βœ… Discover practical strategies for sleep, diet, exercise and daily life

Designed to evolve with each person's journey, the app provides the right information at the right time, helping people make informed decisions and feel more confident navigating their care.

πŸ’¬ Dr Kate Franklin, Consultant Psychiatrist, said: "The app is very much a companion for our patients across all parts of the pathway. It provides practical tools and trusted information to support people from the very beginning of their journey."
