Sometimes we might feel that our emotions are becoming a bit too much to handle, and that can make it hard to get through the day.

If you’re looking for a bit of extra help, this new 10-week Managing Emotions Course might be just what you need. It’s an online space where you can learn practical skills to help you feel more in control. Because it’s run like a class rather than a therapy group, it’s a very relaxed way to learn.

The idea is for everyone to feel comfortable, so you can choose to keep your camera off and you don't have to speak if you don't want to.

The course is open to any adult living in Somerset. If you'd like to join or just want a bit more information, email: [email protected] or check out https://bit.ly/managing-emotions-course

Learn how to protect your eyes whilst watching the partial solar eclipse!

We probably shouldn’t have to say this, but don’t look directly at the sun. Looking directly at the sun without the right protection can cause permanent damage to your eyesight – so you need to take care. Remember, your normal sunglasses may look great, but they won't cut it.

Follow the link to learn more about how to watch the eclipse safely!

Open Mental Health run various courses for adults wanting to support their mental health and wellbeing.

Take a look at their website for what's going on, including 'Ways to Wellbeing' and 'Managing Your Emotions' courses!

Many of us look for gentle ways to improve our mental wellbeing, whether that is picking up a new skill or simply finding a space to meet new people. Our Open Mental Health partners run a variety of free online groups and courses designed to offer that sense of community we sometimes miss when things are tough.

There is a lot to choose from, including workshops to help us manage our emotions, arts and crafts, and even games. We find that having these small, regular connections can make a big difference.

Take a look at our website to find a group that feels right for you:
