💙🚶‍♀️Two weeks tomorrow our team set off our on our Sponsored Walk 💙🚶‍♀️

On 15th August, a few of us from Team Sydenham will be walking from Bathpool in Taunton to the Boat and Anchor in Bridgwater — a challenging 13-mile walk in support of a special cause!

We are fundraising to give our residents a memorable summer day out, hopefully to the seaside for fish and chips and ice cream 🍦🐟

We had an amazing time at our Summer Fete on Saturday, July 25th! 🎉 The Bridgwater Belles - New brought their incredible dance moves, and Arron Robinson wowed us with a live performance. 🎤

A huge thank you to our generous sponsors: Morrison's, Wookey Hole Caves, Berrys Coaches , and The Grand Pier for their contributions. We also appreciate everyone who donated and showed up to support us!

Together, we raised an impressive £724.20! 🙌

☀️🎶 A Wonderful Afternoon at Monroe's 50s Diner 🎶☀️

We were delighted to be invited to Monroe's 50's Diner on Parkway for a very special Dementia Afternoon Tea.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely walk to the diner in the sunshine before settling down to a delicious selection of sandwiches and cream teas. There was plenty of singing, laughter, and wonderful conversation, making it a truly memorable afternoon. To finish, we spent some time sitting outside, soaking up the fresh air and enjoying the beautiful weather together. 🌼☕

A huge thank you to Karen, the owner of Monroe's 50s Diner, for her kindness and generosity in hosting such a thoughtful event. It was such a special afternoon, and we are incredibly grateful for your warm hospitality and support of our community. 💙

When the temperatures soared on 25th June, we decided it was simply a "too hot to handle" kind of day! ☀️🌊

Rather than brave the heat outside, we brought the beach indoors and created a wonderfully spontaneous day filled with seaside vibes, smiles, and laughter. 🏖️

Residents enjoyed a delicious fish & chips lunch from the local chippie, followed by a very special afternoon treat when Ryan's Ice Cream van rolled up! 🍦 Residents had the chance to choose their favourite ice cream, and Ryan's fantastic banter had everyone smiling and laughing. A huge thank you to Ryan's Ice Cream for helping make the day so memorable!

Sometimes the best days are the ones that aren't planned, and this was certainly one to remember! 💙

Our lovely gentlemen enjoyed a very special Father's Day treat this week! 💈✨

A huge thank you to Pasquale from Pasquale’s Barbers WSM , our wonderful Italian barber, who joined us for the morning to provide traditional haircuts and shaves. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience, leaving feeling refreshed, pampered, and looking incredibly smart.

It was a lovely way to celebrate Father's Day and create some special moments together. 💙

💙 Carers Week | 8–14 June 💙

This week, we’re saying a heartfelt thank you to all unpaid carers - family members, friends, and loved ones - who give their time, compassion and support every single day.

Your contribution is invaluable, and we recognise the difference you make, often while facing your own challenges.

This year’s theme focuses on building carer-friendly communities - reminding carers that they are not alone, and that support, advice and guidance is available.

Together, we can help build stronger, more supportive communities for carers 💙

We're delighted to invite residents, families, friends, and members of the local community to our Summer Fête on Saturday 25th July from 2pm–4pm.

Enjoy an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and entertainment, including a special performance from the wonderful Bridgwater Belles! 🎶
