If you are planning to watch the eclipse on Wednesday 12th August please remember never to look at the sun directly as this can cause permanent damage to the eye. Always use certified ISO 12312-2 glasses to safely protect the eyes. ☀️

Lots of people don’t know this, but children don’t need to be able to read to have their eyes tested - they can have an eye test at any age, regardless of their ability to read or speak. Every child should get their eyes tested every year, or more if recommended by an eye health professional.

East Quay Vision managed to raise £126 on our open day. We will be donating this money to The Guide Dogs charity. The charity is almost entirely funded by donations and do amazing work in supporting people living with a vision impairment and are the world’s largest assistance dog organisation. Thank you to all those that donated and took part in our raffle enabling us to continue to support the work of this wonderful organisation.

Taunton Half Marathon 2026 😊

We are very excited to announce that a team of runners from Musgrove Park Hospital Eye department are running the Taunton Half-Marathon this Sunday 1st March 2026 to raise money for Somerset Sight. We would like to say a very big thank you to Ed Herbert, Frankie Fusaro, Ed Farrant and Tanya Herbison for taking on this challenge and we wish you all the best of luck on Sunday!
Charlie Park is doing the fun run on the same day.

East Quay Vision are delighted to be celebrating our collaboration with The Hearing Care partnership this March. To mark the occasion, we are holding an open day on Monday 2nd March 2026 between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

* The EQV team members and our private audiologists will be available to talk to and answer any questions
