NATIONAL HEALTHCARE ESTATES AND FACILITIES DAY

The 17th of June is a day to celebrate our marvellous estates and facilities colleagues.

Without facilities and estates our hospital could not run. Each day they perform essential maintenance, keep the hospital safe, provide food for patients and a clean environment for all hospital users.

In the next week, please show your thanks and appreciation to all our estates and facilities staff.

Thank you all for everything you do to keep BWH clean and well functioning. You do an amazing job 🙏❤️

AMAZING IMAGES FROM BRIDGWATER DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE 😀

Well, things are really shaping up now at BDC!

What a fabulous facility this is. Not only does it look stunning but it will be of huge benefit for the Bridgwater community.

BWH would like to thank the project leads for their cooperation and communication throughout the build, and the construction company, Actiform, who have been genuinely considerate constructors.

A big well done, thank you and round of applause for all involved in this magnificent project!

CELEBRATING OUR VOLUNTEERS ON NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WEEK 🥳🥳

This week is National Volunteers Week. At BWH we are proud of our wonderful volunteer team. The team offer a warm welcome to all users and visitors to the hospital, helping people find their way around and taking pressure of our reception team. We also have volunteers on the ward, in a number of roles.

We would like to thank everyone who so generously offers their time at BWH, you all make a huge difference.

HAPPY RETIREMENT AND THANK YOU TO KIM DAVIS ~ ‘THE LEGEND’

Many of those who work at or have visited BWH may know Kim.

Kim has been working in facilities at BWH for 43 years, since 1983, long before the current hospital was built. She is the longest serving member of the hospital and is a true legend.

Not only does Kim have an amazing work ethic and very high standards, she is a kind and supportive member of staff, who is genuinely interested in helping everyone.

Kim is well known for cherishing staff who are leaving or having an important life event such as a baby or a wedding, and is usually the person arranging the card and a collection.

Yesterday was Kim’s turn to be cherished, with a lunch time celebration of her long career at BWH.

We wish Kim health, happiness and joy in her retirement.

Bridgwater Hospital won’t be quite the same without you 😊🙏

CELEBRATING NURSES’ DAY AT BWH 🥳❤️🥳❤️

On Tuesday BWH proudly celebrated Nurses’ Day. Tbe League of Friends kindly prepared and served cream teas to our wonderful nursing colleagues.

Thank you to the League of Friends and thank to all our HCA and Registered Nurse colleagues who work at or who are based at BWH. You all do an amazing job, please know that you are valued and appreciated.

We also celebrate the community of nurses in the NHS and all across the world. 🙏❤️😊
