📻 VW Touchscreen Repair

Another VW touchscreen digitizer replaced today after the original screen had become unresponsive — including the all-important back button, which made using the radio more than a little frustrating!

Old digitizer removed, replacement fitted, screen cleaned up and everything back together and working as it should. ✅

We can replace both touchscreen digitizers and complete display screens on a range of vehicle infotainment systems.

If your radio screen is becoming unresponsive, inaccurate or has stopped responding altogether, give us a shout.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at DVS! 🔧🚗

We’ve been a little quieter than usual on social media, mainly because we’ve been too busy getting through the work! 😅

Here’s a small selection of some of the vehicles and jobs we’ve been working on recently that we never quite got around to posting at the time.

From diagnostics and remapping to air conditioning, accessory fitting and everything in between, it’s certainly been a varied few weeks!

This afternoon, we headed over to Taunton to give this gorgeous Audi A6 2.0 TDI a Stage 1 remap.

188bhp ➡️ 225bhp ✅
400Nm ➡️ 470Nm ✅

A strong, healthy increase in both power and torque, giving the Audi improved performance and a much more responsive drive.

A lovely recent purchase for the customer, now with the performance to match its looks!

A great day spent with the team at Evans Motorcraft in Taunton today, working through several vehicles requiring in-depth diagnostics and software work.

A massive thank you to Will at Flat Six Collective for the recommendation, and to both businesses for the trade and support they’ve sent our way this week.

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with you all and look forward to doing plenty more together in the future.

Is your touchscreen radio not responding? 🤔

This morning we were out to a VW Beetle to replace a faulty touchscreen digitiser, saving the customer hundreds of pounds compared to replacing the complete radio.

The customers were so pleased with the service we provided that they've already booked us in next week to remap their Land Rover Defender too. We really do appreciate your support! 😊

If your touchscreen has stopped responding, get in touch before replacing the whole unit – we may be able to repair it instead.

A great start to the day with a visit to Flat Six Collective near Taunton, where we carried out an air conditioning regas on this lovely Nissan Juke, ready for its new owner. ❄️🚗

There's nothing better than collecting your new car knowing the air conditioning is ice cold and ready for the journey home!

Whilst we were there, we also gave a couple of their other vehicles a quick check over to help make sure everything was ready to go. A big thank you to the team for having us out – we look forward to working with you again in the future.

A great morning spent helping another couple of customers! 🚐

Today we were in Lympsham, near Weston-super-Mare, giving a Renault Trafic the upgrade it deserved. The van had previously been remapped elsewhere, but the customer wasn't happy with it due to an annoying double beep on start-up. We've now installed one of our tried and tested remaps along with an AdBlue solution, giving the owner complete peace of mind.

260Nm ➡️ 320Nm
✅ No more annoying start-up beep!

While we were there, we also regassed the air conditioning on a lovely 1994 Toyota Hilux Surf. You don't see many of these Japanese imports around anymore, and it's always nice working on something a bit different. It's now blowing lovely cold air again, just in time for the warm weather! ❄️

Another busy day out in Berrow helping one of our long-standing customers move everything over from his faithful 220,000-mile Peugeot 107 into the same model with just 32,000 miles on the clock. Quite the upgrade! 🚗
Today we transferred the aftermarket Bluetooth radio, swapped over the healthier battery, freed off a jammed key fob button, and replaced the heater blower resistor. It certainly wasn't the quickest of jobs either, as it required removing the upper dashboard and passenger airbag to gain access! Once everything was back together, all four fan speeds were working perfectly, there were no warning lights, and the customer could drive away in a car that already felt just like home.
