We will always do repairs/adjustments on any glasses from us here at Pickfords. If you need a repair on glasses purchased or given on a voucher from elsewhere then there will be a small charge for this. If you do not want to pay then unfortunately you will have to take the glasses to be repaired from where you had them from. Thank you.

Please DO NOT look directly at the sun without wearing proper purpose made solar eye protection that meets the ISO 12312-2 safety standards. We do not sell these. Planning to watch this week's partial solar eclipse? ☀️🌙

If you're planning to watch it, it's important to do so safely.

Looking directly at the sun can cause serious damage to your eyes. Ordinary sunglasses don't provide enough protection, and viewing the eclipse through binoculars, a camera, or a telescope still puts you at risk.

Instead, use a safe viewing method, such as a pinhole projector or certified eclipse glasses with solar filters.

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mr Stuart Pickford on 18th May. Here is a photo of when he came to visit us at the practice back in Feb '24. Our thoughts and condolences go out to all his family and friends. His daughter Kate asked me to let you all know. RIP Stuart.
