"My son came to live here recently and I am absolutely amazed at how he is gaining independence and confidence under the caring guidance of Eleanor (the manager) and the team of dedicated carers. Immediately I walked into Southfield, I was impressed by warm and welcoming feeling. The home itself is clean, modern, well equipped and extremely well organised. The residents are treated like a big family, but each is respected and supported, led by their individual needs, preferences and personalities. From the minute my son stepped through the doors, I knew he was in a safe place which was calm, peaceful and hopeful. He had been insular and anxious previously, leading to depression, but after a week he was walking to the shops and making his own choices. He is interacting with other residents, sitting with them to dine, and hoping to join in with activities. I feel positive that he is safe, supported and treated with compassion and kindness. Thank you so much, Eleanor and all the care team"
