Today, a little bag of Rainbow Drops was placed on every seat.

During the service, I shared the story of the enormous box of them that once arrived at the house. It was one of those wonderful family memories that could not help but bring a smile, even on the saddest of days.

Such a simple, thoughtful tribute to a lady who was colourful, kind and had an unforgettable sense of humour.

Sometimes it is the smallest details that tell the biggest stories. ❤️

What a beautiful surprise after today’s service. 💐

To be trusted with someone’s story is always a privilege, and to receive these gorgeous flowers from the family afterwards was incredibly thoughtful.

A simple gesture, perhaps, but one that meant more to me than they will ever know. They are now sitting beside me as I work, bringing a little colour and a very lovely reminder of a special family and a life remembered with so much love.

This week so far… ❤️

Moving house, family meetings, writing services, leading services, diploma projects and continuing to bring The Yorkshire Storyteller to life.

There are boxes everywhere, my diary is full and I am never quite sure where anything is 😂 But amongst all the busy, I am creating a new home, doing work that I truly love and building something that feels completely and authentically me. Nearly a whole year since I started on this journey, It’s been a long time coming.

Life is busy. Life is good.
