๐Ÿ’™ **Meet the Team: Nick โ€“ Digital IT Lead**

Nick joined the Health Centre just over a year ago after making an impressive career change from hospitality into IT. Before joining the NHS, he spent 15 years in the hospitality industry, developing strong problem-solving and customer service skills before following his passion for technology.

Today, Nick leads on the practice's digital systems, helping to keep our technology secure, reliable and running smoothly for both patients and staff.

**We asked Nick a few quick questions...**

๐Ÿ’ป **Favourite part of your job?**
*"Definitely the digital and technical side of things. I enjoy solving problems and working with technology."*

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ **What does a typical day look like?**
*"No two days are ever the same! I start by checking our systems are running smoothly, then my day can involve supporting staff, managing our IT systems, improving digital services, reviewing data protection and cybersecurity, and helping make sure everything works safely and efficiently behind the scenes."*

๐Ÿฅ **What do you enjoy most about working here?**
*"The positive and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, supportive and genuinely enjoys working together, which makes it a great place to work."*

๐Ÿ” **What's something patients might be surprised to learn about your role?**
*"I probably spend more time reading, researching and planning than actually fixing computers! A lot of my work focuses on data protection, cybersecurity and improving digital services. Even small changes can have a big impact across the practice, so there's a lot of planning behind the scenes before anything is introduced."*

โ˜• **Tea or coffee?**
*"It depends on the season! Tea in the winter, coffee in the summer."*

๐ŸŽฌ **A fun fact...**
Outside of work, Nick also has a background in filmmaking, specialising in post-production editing and colour grading for digital film.

Thank you, Nick, for helping to keep our digital services safe, secure and running smoothly every day. ๐Ÿ’™
