🌼⚘️🌿Obviously, I'm a huge fan of plants and herbs, being a Herbalist. But the herbs I love working with the most are the ones which grow wild, on the edges of cultivated or inhabited land. These plants probably self-seeded and took root because the growing conditions were just right for them in that particular spot. The right type of soil and nutrients, the right amount of light, shade and drainage, and maybe the right sort of plant and funghi neighbours to interact with.
Therefore, these wild plants are super vital, with high levels of plant nutrients within them, and are perfect for making my medicinal plant extracts with.
These plants are usually native to these lands and usually also have a long history of Medicinal use here. I really enjoy delving into that old lineage and feeling that in my small way I am also helping to sustain that old lineage and keep it alive.

I love going out with my basket on foraging trips, to gather wild herbs which I usually use to make my wild crafted tinctures from for my dispensary.
I try to prepare my tinctures (concentrated liquid extracts) with fresh plant parts, without drying them first. I love the vitality this brings and the good preservation of all the volatile oils (which can degrade on drying).
🌱⚘️🌼🌿☀️👍🏼
Because I make these tinctures myself in small batches, from plants I've harvested myself, it means I know my tinctures are of the absolute highest quality.
I've wild harvested: Nettles, Elderberries, Elderflowers, Hawthorn flowers, leaves and berries, Plantain, Cleavers, Mugwort, Yarrow, Cramp bark, Lime blossom, Turkey tail mushroom and more.
Because I tend to harvest very close to where I live in Brighton, usually within walking distance, it also means these wild crafted tinctures have very little carbon footprint and are very fresh.
