I’m always grateful for the left on my Google Business listing by my lovely regulars and new people coming to me for and treatment.

Reading these reviews puts a smile on my face for sure, but most importantly, they give people who may be considering booking in with me, an idea of what they can expect. Super important when you consider the massage industry in the UK is unregulated. We all like to know we are in safe hands right!

Here are a few left recently…

“Two days post TMJ massage and I can open my mouth pain-free for the first time in months. Thanks Nicky! As a general dentist, I know where I’ll be sending my TMJ patients. I’m going to be booking in a package to keep the momentum going”

“I love going to Nicky! I found her post surgery about 5 years ago from local recommendations. Oh my word. Her treatments and maintenance of my very complex body has been absolutely life changing. Career saving. I’m very very lucky to have found her!”

“A friend recommended Nicky and what a great recommendation it was. Nicky was friendly, professional and her massage was AMAZING! It really helped with neck and shoulder tension which was resulting in a lot of headaches. This is an elevated experience from a ‘normal’ massage. No hesitation in recommending”

You can find out more about me, book a treatment, leave a review, or even just book a free 15 minute discovery call via my website https://www.mandalamassagebrighton.com/ or the links in my bio at the top of my Instagram.

If you’d like to come for a massage, I still have availability this month, and I would LOVE to see you!

Availability is less during July when I join the teaching team for the ACMT summer intensive with , so I encourage you to book well in advance. What an amazing couple of weeks this will be! 🤩

Hi Bella Freud

This is me and mi Chica 🩷

As you can see she’s a little madam with bags of personality!

In the first photo, she’s not begging for food, she’s actually begging for my attention, despite her always having plenty of it!

In the second one, I was gardening and the pots were getting all my attention… what’s an attention seeking chihuahua to do? Get in a pot herself of course! 🤣

As chihuahua’s are, she’s a real sunseeker… in the third (and final, although I have so many I could share!) photo she’s chasing the evening sun around our lounge 😎

We’d love to win your competition and for Chica to be the face of your Lucien Dog Campaign! 🙌🏼

According to April is . They have some great information on their website and social media on how to reduce stress. I encourage you to take a look 👀

For the past 20 years or so and even before I was a massage therapist, massage has been my number one for keeping my own stress levels manageable. As a result, I’m usually well physically. I don’t tend to have aches and pains, my digestion is generally good, and I usually sleep well. Not always of course, and none of this happens by chance. I make sure I have regular massage, whether I feel I need it or not.

Massage provides a great reset for the central nervous system. If you listen when your body whispers it won’t need to shout loudly with symptoms of neck and shoulder pain, back ache, headaches, IBS, anxiety, and poor sleep. All of which are very often stress related and can be helped with regular treatment 🙌🏼

During April, I plan to share information on stress management and massage, along with some of the self-care advice I give to those coming to me for treatment.

The photo shows me and Chica getting out in nature with nieces 1 and 3 over the Easter break. This is number 2 on my list, it’s always so good for my wellbeing!

If you’ve been coming to me for regular treatment or following me for a while on here, you might know I conducted clinical research into TMJ pain as part of my BTEC 6 Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage qualification a couple of years ago.

The results were outstanding… an overall 59.9% reduction in pain for the women who took part and had an advanced clinical TMJ massage with me once a week for 6 weeks. A month after the 6th treatment, I collected final pain scores from the participants which showed these great results were maintained. Evidence of how treating TMJ pain with the Jing Method really does make a difference.

The photo is from earlier this month when I, and some of the other TOTO’s (teachers in training) and BTEC 6 graduates, presented our clinical research to the students we’d been supporting through their year of Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist training.

It was great to revisit my research and I’ll be sharing more about it on my website soon!

I think there was a time when meant a lie in!

But now, after 15 years plus of morning Mysore practice with my body clock is too well established… (and Chica’s of course, I get an early morning face wash regardless of the day of the week 🙏🏼🐕🩷)

Plus I’m back with the teaching team at later today for the Open Evening, so this morning was all about chores and meal prep for the rest of the week… with ‘lending a hand too’ 🤣

I’ve had some students of book in with me for treatments recently and I’m looking forward to helping them practice their skills at the Open Evening tonight!

AANND…. Here it is!

The winner of my 6 monthly draw to win a FREE MASSAGE!!

Why do I do this?

Leaving reviews is one of the best ways you can help small businesses such as mine.

It’s super simple, takes just a few minutes and has a big impact, letting people know they’re making a good choice when they’re thinking of coming for a treatment with me.

l’m grateful to everyone who’s left a review in the past 6 months.

This time, the winner is Finbar!

This is what he had to say…

“Very relaxing and calming in approach and manner. Also very professional… definitely recommend”

I’m delighted he’s won a free massage and found me to be professional and calming, certainly I strive to be those things for everyone who comes to me for treatment.

I’ll be getting in touch with him today to let him know.

I’ll be making the draw again in 6 months time… to be in with a chance use the links in my bio to leave your review 😊

What a beautiful day this was!

A welcome exception to all the miserable damp, wet weather!

Which also seems to be a trigger for colds and coughs, perhaps because everyone is stuck indoors together. So what to do if you’ve booked in with me for a massage and you’re not feeling great?

It’s normal to get a couple of seasonal colds a year and it can actually be a good ‘clear out’ for your system. Pretty much all of us are going to have one at some point!

Whilst I ask you to get in touch with me to let me know you have a cold, I’m happy to treat you and will wear a mask to protect myself and reduce the risk of me passing anything on to others. If I have a more vulnerable person booked in after you, I may alter timings slightly so I really appreciate knowing in advance of you coming.

The main thing is that you are comfortable on my massage table, I can treat you entirely in a sidelying and supine (face up) position if you feel you may be congested lying face down. If you’ve had a treatment with me before, most likely you’ve experienced some of this work already and will know you don’t need to be lying on your front to have a really great massage!

You may find having a treatment when you have a cold makes it pass more quickly than it might otherwise, however, your symptoms may be worse in the day following your massage so you may wish to consider this depending on what you are doing and whether or not you are able to rest a little.

And finally… if you decide you do wish to reschedule or cancel your massage please ensure you do so outside of the 24 hour window to avoid being charged for your appointment.

With the potential for so much change at this time of year, my cancellation policy is in place to ensure fairness for all... myself included.

Thanks in advance for your understanding 😊🙏🩷

A few people felt the big window in my new treatment room didn’t offer enough privacy. Exactly the same as during a treatment with me, if there’s something I can do to make you more comfortable then I will.

Those on my massage table are always welcome to tell me if they’re too hot, too cold, uncomfortable on their front, hating my choice of music, or not enjoying any part of their treatment whatsoever… if I can do something about it, and I usually can, then I will.

So here is the new net curtain. Giving more privacy to those who wanted it, and still letting in enough natural light for me to work comfortably.

Have you been to my new treatment room yet?

We moved house in December so you can now find me at Bonchurch Road.

I have a few spaces left for next week and I’d love to see you. You can book here https://www.mandalamassagebrighton.com/onlinebooking or via the link in my bio 😊
