You can't control the cards. You can control how you play them. ♠️
Poker is full of uncertainty.
You can make the right decision and lose.
You can make the wrong decision and win.
You can play your best and still have a losing session.
That's poker.
The mistake is spending your mental energy trying to control things that were never yours to control in the first place.
Instead, bring your attention back to your circle of control:
♠️ Your preparation
♠️ Your decisions
♠️ Your focus
♠️ Your emotional response
♠️ Your attitude
♠️ How you respond to the next hand
This is also a really useful principle outside of poker.
Control what you can. Accept what you can't. Keep moving forward.
And remember: letting go of an outcome doesn't mean you don't care.
It means you're putting your energy where it can actually make a difference.
Hypnotherapy can help with this, DM me for more info.
