What can be done when even your personal truth is doubted?

The emotional sting of this betrayal or gaslighting is horrific. Tune into your body, give the sensation a narrative.

For example:

With tapping

“Even though I feel this pain in my chest it is just my body’s way of showing me what I need to heal.”
“This wounded sensation is part of me and even though I feel it I deeply and completely love and consciously accept myself anyway. “

Shorter version
“This sensation is valid”
“I am feeling how my body is healing”

Listen for the shifts as your body changes from stress response into coherent healing

Would you like to find about more about your genes ?
🧬 Reactivity levels to pharmaceuticals or abreactions.
🧬Designing an individualised clear protocol for nutritional supplements.
🧬Tracing the data to find symptom causation and aggravations.
The possibilities are endless
I’m thinking of training in this area, obviously observing strict confidentiality ethics with your data.
Am interested to find out if there is a potential market.

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental illness that involves the inability to regulate emotions. There is a variety of symptoms, including:
~ Fear of abandonment
~ Pattern of unstable and violent relationships
~ Splitting, or seeing things/people as all good or all bad
~ Emotional lability
~ Impulsivity

Genetics plays a role in BPD, but genes alone do not cause it. Instead, it is a combination of genetic susceptibility, epigenetic changes, and an environmental trigger.

Twin and family studies estimate the heritability of borderline personality disorder to be around 40-60% (genetics, epigenetics), with the rest being environmental.

Genetic pathways involved in BPD:
The following genetic susceptibility pathways have been identified in studies as increasing the relative risk of borderline personality disorder.

Oxytocin receptor (OXTR gene): Oxytocin is a hormone involved in mother-child bonding as well as social bonding and empathy. People with BPD, on average, show lower oxytocin expression. Studies on patients with BPD show that changes in the oxytocin receptor gene that reduce expression are likely to cause someone with BPD to feel more psychological pain and be more affected by childhood maltreatment.

Inflammatory cytokines: Multiple studies show that people with BPD have increased oxidative stress, increased inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6), and decreased BDNF.

Inflammatory cytokines interfere with the synthesis and reuptake of key neurotransmitters, especially serotonin. Serotonin disruption may contribute to the severe mood swings and emotional instability characteristic of BPD. Cytokines also decrease the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which is important for neuroplasticity.

Antioxidant enzymes: Two recent studies looked at the levels of antioxidant enzymes, including CAT, GPx, and SOD, and found that they were lower in people with BPD than in a healthy age-matched control group.

Oxidative stress can trigger a cycle of inflammation through the activation of pathways like nuclear factor-kappa B (NFκB), causing neuroinflammation. This affects brain areas implicated in BPD symptoms, such as those involved in stress response, emotional processing, and behavioral control.

With a Genetic Lifehacks membership, you can use your genetic raw data (from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, etc) to see your genotypes in over 400 articles, including my article on BPD. You will see research-backed solutions in the lifehacks section to help determine what pathway to target -- all based on your genetic variants. Personalize your health!

Very long but accurate post quoted below here

This is why I also believe CBT and DBT are the inherently shaming when working with trauma survivors.

Of course some practitioners may be more sensitive but personal experience has not shown this to be so.

Therapy for Change uses a combination of holistic therapy together with cortisol lowering EFT and Matrix Reimprinting. Extremely effective and literally life changing.
Neurotransmitters are supported using vitamins, minerals and non addictive mood regulators in the form of amino acid supplements.

We’ve become very good at managing symptoms.

But managing isn’t the same as resolving.

Because the body doesn’t just respond to what we do—
it responds to how safe it feels.

When the nervous system is stuck in chronic stress,
symptoms often persist… or return in new ways.

Real healing begins when the system can shift out of survival mode and back into regulation.

Emotional support begins with describing emotions. Emotional granulation described here in this clip.

I would also add other details about describing an emotional experience beyond emotional words, I encourage clients to use metaphor and rate their level of intensity out of 10 as well.

So shame could be described as a heavy black feeling around the eyes and throat and from time to time during therapy especially tapping (EFT) the shame sense could shift from an 8/10 to a 4/10. Or indeed the colour or quality could shift.

This helps clients and indeed the therapist communicate a sense of regulation especially in overwhelm.

Starting to experience your sense of self differently can begin right now and EFT can help explore, regulate or even resolve.

One final point EFt can also be used for emotional expression with positive emotions too. I especially recommend this one. Often people have invisible barriers or limiting beliefs about happiness too. Try tapping your EFT points with your favourite song and watch your neurotransmitters rise up too.

EFT is free!
Once you have learned the basics treating everything from anxiety to panic and depression to overwhelm.

Hugh Jackman, Pink, Kyle Gray, Michael Ball, Usain Bolt and many others all know tapping (EFT) works and have been seen using it.

I’m here to teach, guide and support your EFT journey and can help you through the deeper challenges and chapters.

Matrix Reimprinting is a sister therapy which works on past trauma management and future self healing too.

EFT tapping is effective for reducing symptomatology around PTSD, depression and pain.

This study looks at Virtual group tapping vs in person and found results were still significant 6 mths later for both data sets.

“A powerhouse for mental health”

Kind of makes me want to set up an EFT group again!

Hi everyone!

I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you for your continued support. I truly appreciate each and every one of you who has chosen my services over the years.

As we all know, the cost of doing business has changed quite a bit recently. To ensure I can keep providing you with the high-quality therapeutic support you expect and deserve, there will be a small adjustment to our session fees, increasing from £66 to £70 per session, effective from April 2nd 2026

This is actually my first price increase since 2018! I’ve held off for as long as possible because I value your loyalty so much, but this step is necessary to keep things running smoothly.

If you have any questions or want to chat about how this affects your upcoming appointments or orders, please feel free to reach out.

All existing bookings are unaffected.
And there will be deals if you book a multi session package 😊

Thank you again for being such wonderful clients. I look forward to continuing to work with you!

Warmly,

Therapy for Change
