Just needed some pointy rocks 🪨

Sharing the failures because they are a normal part of trying new things and pushing yourself 🫶🏻

No part of me wanted to DNF the badger divide especially while I felt like I was coping so well physically but I didn’t have unlimited time and resources and waiting another evening in Inverness to buy racks that wouldn’t fit my bike/ a backpack just didn’t seem sensible. I knew my gut was telling my to go home as was my brain even though my heart really wanted to find another solution and keep going 😮‍💨

Lessons were learned:
1) the wrong gear will fail and cost you the route
2) I am so incredible capable of doing the hard things I want to just sometimes it doesn’t work out
3) my bike handling was pushed to the limit but I coped which I’m super proud of
4) nothing makes me feel as good as being outside all day moving my body and then camping in a tiny tent at night 😂

I’ll be back to the badger 🦡
