Over the past two weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Natalia, a fourth-year medical student from Lancaster University, to North Bristol Private Hospital for her elective placement.

As her time with us came to an end, we sat down to reflect on her experience—what she’s learned, what she’s enjoyed most, and how this placement has helped shape her journey towards her dream of becoming a plastic surgeon.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation of surgeons. Sharing knowledge, inspiring future colleagues, and providing hands-on learning opportunities is something we value deeply.

A new collaboration between North Bristol Private Hospital and Dr Cornelius Krause and the team at CK Dental is now supporting suitable private patients who require dental treatment in a hospital theatre environment.

This service enables eligible patients to access dental procedures under general anaesthesia within North Bristol Private Hospital’s CQC-rated Good theatre facilities. It offers a supportive option for patients who may find dental treatment difficult due to dental anxiety, dental phobia, complex treatment needs, or where a hospital setting is considered the most appropriate environment.

For many people, dental anxiety can be a significant barrier to receiving the oral care they need. Through this collaboration, CK Dental and North Bristol Private Hospital aim to provide a calm, professional and carefully supported pathway, with care delivered by experienced dental and hospital teams.

We are proud to work with CK Dental to help patients access safe, compassionate and patient-centred dental care in a regulated hospital environment.

📢 We’re hiring: Part-Time Receptionist

North Bristol Private Hospital is looking for a professional, organised and patient-focused Part-Time Receptionist to join our friendly team at our hospital in Aztec West, Bristol.

This front-of-house role is central to providing a warm, welcoming and confidential service for our patients, visitors, contractors and colleagues. Duties include greeting patients, handling telephone and email enquiries, supporting appointment administration, maintaining accurate records, processing payments and helping ensure our reception area remains safe, calm and well organised.

Role details:
📍 Location: North Bristol Private Hospital, 150 Aztec West, Bristol, BS32 4UB
🕣 Hours: 2 days per week, 8:30am–5:00pm, usually Wednesday and Thursday, with some flexibility required
📄 Contract: Part-time, permanent

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, good IT skills and a calm, respectful approach when supporting patients and visitors. Previous reception, customer service or administrative experience is essential; healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.

Benefits include free on-site parking, staff refreshments, role-specific induction and training, and the opportunity to work as part of a supportive, patient-focused hospital team.
