⚽ Football should bring people together

For some people, major football tournaments can be a time of increased risk and fear due to domestic abuse.

**UPDATE: This has now been escalated to an amber heat-health alert until Sunday 12 July. Please follow the health advice to stay safe during the hot weather and check on vulnerable friends, neighbours, and relatives who may need extra support.**

A yellow heat-health alert is in place in our area for higher temperatures until 11 July.

Yellow alerts mean there’s an increased health risk for vulnerable people such as older adults, babies and those with long-term conditions.

Please follow health advice:
💧 Stay hydrated
☀️ Keep out of the sun at the hottest time of the day, between 11am and 3pm
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun
🧴 Wear sunscreen – UV levels can still be high, even when it's cloudy
🤝 Check on vulnerable friends, family and neighbours

There is a severe weather warning in place across the South West this week.
To help keep everyone safe, we’ll be reviewing booked appointments and, where possible, looking at ways to reduce the need for patients to travel to the practice.

🍃 Gardener Wanted - Orchard Medical Centre (TOMC)

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced gardener to help maintain and improve our outdoor areas at Orchard Medical Centre.

Ideally, we’re hoping to find someone local who takes pride in their work and can help keep our grounds tidy, safe, and welcoming.
