Welcome to AbleCare Homes page! We are a fourth generation award winning family run company offering small boutique care homes in your neighbourhood.

Get your updates here on things going on in our six care homes such as entertainment and activities, events, minibus trips and days out, updates on maintenance work and refurbishment and so on! AbleCare Homes is a group of six care homes based across Bristol and South Gloucestershire offering residential care to local people provided by local people. We provide care for older people, people with dementia and individuals who need a period of intensive support prior to moving into more independent living. Excellent meals are cooked by our in-house chefs, activities are stimulating and fun, care is provided by professional Care Assistants. We work to Covid-19 safe practices and have excellent infection control. Long term care, short breaks for family holidays and carer breaks, recuperation stays after illness can all be arranged.

We’ve added a little fun to our monthly Key-Worker bedroom and wardrobe checks at Rosewood House!

Each month, a Golden Key is hidden in one resident’s wardrobe. Complete your usual checks, keep those wardrobes organised and tidy, and you might just find it! 👀

✨ Moroccan Day! ✨

Last week, our homes enjoyed a colourful celebration of all things Moroccan! 💙

Our residents and teams got involved in lots of different activities, from wearing beautiful traditional dress and getting creative making Moroccan-inspired lanterns, to tasting some delicious food! 🏮🍴

Days like these are a wonderful opportunity to explore different cultures, try something new, and, most importantly, have plenty of fun together!

It certainly looks like everyone had a fantastic time celebrating! 🇲🇦❤️

What have the residents of Ablecare Homes been doing recently? 🤔💭

Residents at Crossley House partook in an investigation activity surrounding around Mona Lisa being stolen. They followed clues and riddles to find pieces of the art puzzle. Afterwards, they learnt why the painting was so infamous and listened to music inspired by the artwork! 🖼️

At Rosewood House, residents celebrated International Dog Day 🐶 They took a lovely walk and happily did some colouring relating to the day.

Then at Hengrove Lodge, the baking club made a yummy apple crumble tray bake. This came out better than they thought! The residents enjoyed helping out to bake it 🍎

Recently, we’ve had a few very deserving Employee of the Week winners at Hengrove Lodge! 💙

Each of these wonderful team members has made an outstanding contribution to the home and has been recognised for the hard work, dedication, and care they show every day.

But we think the best part has to be who presented the awards... our residents! 🥰

Each Employee of the Week was presented with their award by residents at Hengrove Lodge, who were more than happy to agree that the recognition was very well deserved! 🏆👏

🌍 Out & About with AbleCare Homes! 🌍

Our residents have been busy getting out, about, and exploring recently! 💙

From trips to the local library to days out in beautiful Castle Combe, there have been plenty of opportunities to enjoy new surroundings, make memories, and spend quality time together. 📚🌿

Getting out into the community is such an important part of life in our homes, whether it's somewhere familiar or a completely new adventure.

We can’t wait to see where our residents head off to next! 🚐✨

What a splendid evening we had at the AbleCare Awards Night! 💙
