Do you think of yourself as lazy? Maybe it’s perfectionism.

If you feel you can only do things at 110%, then the pressure to do something can feel overwhelming.

So we avoid, put off, procrastinate. This then becomes a self fulfilling prophecy - that we’re not good enough, lazy, disorganised, incompetent.

Letting go of the need for everything to be perfect and letting it be ‘good enough’ is freeing.

But it’s easier said than done. Can you try starting a task and setting a timer for 5 minutes? It’s often the starting that’s the hardest part.

Yup - imposter syndrome can strike all of these people (and so many more!).

One way of tackling this is to talk about it! It really helps to normalise these types of worries - is there anyone in your workplace you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts with?

Often those ‘oh really, me too!’ moments take a lot of power out of the worry.

We all experience times where our resilience is tested and our mental wellbeing struggles - this is completely normal and to be expected. Don't believe the lie that shames you into isolation. Instead, move closer to the light, love, support and health.

Community to us is about belonging. A place or group where you can be an individual in a sea of togetherness - seen, heard and accepted. It's a safe place where you can be held, validated, and supported yet at the same time, challenged, encouraged (which literally means to develop courage) and inspired to push outside of one's comfort zone.

At a unique point in time where we've been forced to rely on an online community, social media has been a saving grace for many and has exposed us to people we may have never encountered IRL. What a privilege! We've come across so many lovely inspirational and fierce women that have inspired us and made this online social media community a comforting place to be (tagged).

We're in the process of building our own pocket of community over at the Collective, and we'll be introducing our monthly newsletters soon - if you've not yet signed up to our emailing list, head over to our website (link in bio) to register. We're so looking forward to expanding the collective to in-person events when life opens up again, but for now hello 👋 from us to you, on the 'gram.
