⚽🏆 What a Fantastic Result! 🏆⚽

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed staying up to watch England’s victory tonight, and what a match it was! 🦁❤️🤍

The lounge was filled with cheers, applause, and plenty of football excitement as everyone watched England secure the win. With beers in hand, popcorn at the ready, and great company all around, it was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all.

Moments like these bring people together, creating memories, sparking conversations, and sharing in the joy of supporting our national team.

A brilliant result and a fantastic night for our residents!

Our wonderful Registered Manager, Lizzie, teamed up with Cathy Rant from Exeter University on Wednesday.

Together, they took part in a social care nursing conference. They performed a role-play to show the vital support registered managers give to nursing students in care homes.

It was a lovely, useful event for everyone involved.

Thankyou to FJ singers, who performed a fabulous set for us this afternoon.

We enjoyed many solo’s but also harmonies too. Barry sang a lovely rendition of Elvis’ ‘Don’t,’ which pulled at our heart strings.

We enjoyed their company too as they always stay to chat with residents over a cuppa before they leave. 🫖☕️

The end of last week ended on a creative high note as usual. 👩‍🎨

Residents decorated CD’s to make sun catchers as well as creating some very impressive watercolour paintings.

Zena and John spent a few hours perfecting their art work. John maintained throughout he couldn’t paint but the end result begs to differ! 🎨

Steve West brought the sunshine back to Collingwood this afternoon! ☀️

As usual, he wowed us with his lovely voice and popular range of songs.

We all love it when he duets with the residents and today Margaret and Sylvia did us proud.

We look forward to welcoming him back in July for more amazing entertainment.

We’ve had another delivery of books from Hanham library.

Residents chose from romantic novels, mysteries, local history as well as poems, proverbs and sayings. 📚

Many thanks to the library for providing us every month with a range of engaging books for all to enjoy.

As Roses are the official flower of June, we used this as our inspiration for Watercolour Wednesday. 🌹

The residents’ beautiful paintings are displayed in the dining room for all to enjoy.😊
