Did you know that you can now recycle your empty blister packs here at the pharmacy? Household recycling in the UK generally doesn't accept blister packs because they combine plastic and aluminium foil making separation difficult through our conventional system, so most end up in landfill or incineration. But now you can bring them to us and they will be safely recycled. Please make sure all medication is removed first.

Millions of women in England are to be offered HPV self-testing kits as the new service rolls out from today.

The kits will be offered to those who haven’t attended cervical screening following previous invitations, providing a discreet and convenient way to test for high-risk HPV at home.

🌸 Free NHS Contraception Service at Wrington Pharmacy 🌸

Have you been sent our way by your GP surgery to pick up your contraceptive pill? We are very happy to help you! To make your visit as quick and smooth as possible, we wanted to share an update on how this free NHS service works.

Unlike a standard prescription pickup, our pharmacists cannot simply hand over a 12-month supply of the pill without seeing you first. Because your health and safety are our top priorities, the NHS requires us to carry out a short, confidential in-person review before we can hand over your medication.

What happens during your review?
A private chat with our pharmacist to check how you are getting on with your pill.
A quick, routine blood pressure and weight check.
A supply of your medication issued directly by us—no GP appointment needed.
