Kind of, yes 🍞

The long fermentation breaks down some of the gluten, so it can be easier to digest. It also tends to be gentler on blood sugar than regular white bread, less of a spike, less of a crash. Plus, it often contains fewer ingredients than your standard supermarket loaf, which can be packed with preservatives and other additives.

It’s definitely a better option but remember it’s still a carb, so remember to always dress your carbs, pair with protein and healthy fats to steady any blood sugar spikes and keep you fuller for longer x

My first ever Google review. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner but of course that’s an important thing to do! It’s the first thing I do when I book anything. Anyway, here’s to more 5* reviews woop woop!

I know I bang on about slaw 😅 But this is actually why I keep posting about it…

It’s so delicious, freshens up any meal, and quietly packs in so many health benefits at the same time.

* Liver support • Red cabbage contains compounds called glucosinolates that help your body process and clear out excess hormones

* Antioxidant • cabbage is rich in antioxidants that help protect your cells from damage

* Gut health • cabbage and garlic both act as prebiotics, feeding your good gut bacteria

* Vitamin C + iron absorption • cabbage and lime are loaded with vitamin C, which helps your body absorb iron from plant sources more effectively

* Anti-inflammatory • garlic and extra virgin olive oil both have well-documented anti-inflammatory properties

* Healthy fats + absorption • extra virgin olive oil helps your body absorb the fat-soluble vitamins in the cabbage

Simple, raw, five minutes. That’s it.

Basic Recipe:
1 head of cabbage, shredded
Juice of 2 limes
Good glug of extra virgin olive oil
Hot sauce to taste (Frank’s forever)
1 small garlic clove, minced
Salt + honey if you fancy it

You can of course jazz it up any way you like x Modelled by my husband to be because I had a sleeping baby on me x

Why are you so tired?

The kind where you’ve had a full night’s sleep and you’re still dragging yourself through the day and coffee is needed for survival. 3pm hits and you genuinely consider lying on the floor.

You’re in your 20s or 30s. You’re not supposed to feel like this. And yet here we are. Most women I speak to have just accepted it. Tired is their baseline. They’ve stopped questioning it because life is busy and surely everyone feels like this?

They don’t. Or at least they don’t have to. Tiredness at this level is usually your body trying to tell you something.

And more often than not, what you’re eating (or not eating) is a huge part of the picture.

If you’re exhausted and you don’t really know why, you’re in the right place.

Drop a 🙋‍♀️ if this sounds familiar
