What a lovely surprise! 🎉

I’m so happy to share that I’ve been named a finalist in the Health and Wellbeing category at the EntreConf Awards 2026!!

As a small business owner, there are many days filled with hard work, problem-solving, learning, and determination. Much of that work happens quietly in the background, without recognition.

That’s why moments like this feel especially meaningful.

Being selected as a finalist is a recognition of the work I do to support healthier, more inclusive, and more human-centred workplaces.

❤️ This recognition is particularly special because wellbeing is at the heart of everything I do. Whether delivering Mental Health First Aid training, supporting inclusion and belonging, or helping organisations build positive workplace cultures, my goal has always been to create lasting positive change for people and communities.

❤️ I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has trusted me, worked with me, attended my training sessions, supported my business, or encouraged me along the way. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Congratulations to all the finalists, and I’m looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the awards ceremony. ✨

🎉 I've got THE email!!! 🎉

You know, the one with this headline:

"Congratulations! You're a Finalist in the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards 2026"

What a lovely surprise!

I'm so grateful to be recognised alongside so many inspiring women who are building businesses with passion, purpose and determination.

A huge thank you to Sandra Garlick and the Woman Who team for creating these awards and for selecting me as a finalist. It means a great deal to have my work recognised in this way.

Thank you also to everyone who has supported APOYO and cheered me on. This milestone is one I'm very happy to celebrate. 💛

✨ PROUD MOMENT FOR ME! ✨

I am incredibly proud to share that I have officially nominated myself for the Womman Who Solopreneur Awards 2026! 🎉

As the founder of Apoyo Courses Ltd., I have the privilege of helping organisations create healthier, more inclusive workplaces through Mental Health First Aid, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Anti-Racism training.

Every course I deliver is driven by my purpose of making a positive difference in people's lives.

This nomination represents more than an award entry. It represents the hard work, resilience, dedication, and passion I've poured into building my business.

It's an opportunity to celebrate how far I've come and the impact I've been able to make through my work. ✨

I'm proud of the challenges I've overcome, the people I've helped, the relationships I've built, and the business I've created.

Whatever happens next, taking this step and putting myself forward is an achievement in itself.

A huge thank you to Woman Who and Sandra Garlick for creating opportunities like these that celebrate and support women in business, helping us increase our visibility, build meaningful connections, and be proud of our journey. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, worked with me, referred me, and cheered me on along the way. Your support means the world.

✨Here's to being unapologetically ourselves, stepping into the spotlight, and celebrating how far we've come. ✨

What a night!

On Thursday, I attended the Small Business Growth Awards dinner at the Harbour Hotel, Bristol, organised by HSBC and the FSB

It was a lovely evening bringing together winners and runner-ups from across the South West and Wales.

We were told there were ab out 2,800 applications, so it feels like an honour to have been recognised as Runner-Up for the Diversity and Inclusion Award 2026!!

A big thank you to everyone who were involved in organising such a warm and welcoming evening...

I'm feeling grateful, inspired, and even more motivated to keep doing the work I love. ✨

As the Easter holidays arrive, I’m taking something I often speak about… and putting it into practice.

I’ll be taking a full week off to spend time with my family. No emails, no sessions, just presence. ☺️

Running a business can make it easy to keep going without pause.

But rest is not a luxury, it’s part of doing meaningful work well.

When we give ourselves space to recharge, we come back with more clarity, energy, and care for the people we support.

For me, wellbeing isn’t just something I teach, it’s something I choose.

If you’re also taking time off, I hope you switch off and enjoy it.

And if you’re working, I hope you can find small moments to pause and look after yourself too.

✨ HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU!! 🥚 🪺

See you in a week 🌿 😉

✨It’s the final day of Neurodiversity Celebration Week ✨

This week, we’ve talked about understanding and valuing difference.

Today, let’s go one step further… let’s recognise strengths.

Behind every label, there is a person with unique ways of thinking, creating and solving problems.

🔶 ADHD
🔶 Autism
🔶 Dyslexia
🔶 Dyspraxia
🔶 Dyscalculia
🔶 Tourette syndrome.

These are not just challenges to manage.

They also come with valuable strengths that organisations often overlook.

When we take time to understand people as individuals, we start to see what they bring; not just what they find difficult.

Take a look at the reel. You’ll find just a few of the many strengths linked to each neurodifference.

❇️ Inclusion goes beyond awareness.
❇️ It calls for action, curiosity, and adapting the way we work.

As we close this week, let’s ask ourselves:

👉 What strengths might we be missing?
👉 What small changes could make a big difference?

The real impact comes from continuing this conversation beyond today. 💛

Happy International Women’s Day! 🌸

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, is a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we support one another.

Today feels like a lovely opportunity to share about the International Women’s Day lunch I attended on Friday, organised by Linda James from BulliesOut: Empowering Future Generations, together with Beth Baldwin.
It was such a joyful and uplifting event, surrounded by so many inspiring women.

We listened to our guest speakers who shared her powerful and inspiring career journey.

The afternoon was full of connection and celebration. We ate, talked, laughed, danced and even sang together!

And the best part is that while enjoying ourselves, we were also supporting a fantastic charity that works hard to tackle bullying and create safer spaces for young people.

Here’s to continuing to lift each other up and remembering that sometimes, when we give… we gain even more. 💜

It takes a village… WAW! ✨

Last night was the very first — of many, I’m sure — Women’s Award Wales at the Senedd in Cardiff.

And what a powerful evening it was.

The community that Beth Baldwin, Emma Jay and Andrea Byrne have created through Women's Academy Wales is something special.

Thank you for bringing this event to life and for creating a space that supports, encourages and inspires women entrepreneurs to step forward with confidence.

We celebrated eight award categories, and I had the honour of sponsoring the Allyship Award.

For me, allyship means opening doors, sharing experiences, and using our voice when it counts. It’s choosing to stand beside women as they grow in confidence, leadership and impact...

That’s why sponsoring this award meant so much to me. ❤️

Huge congratulations to all the winners across every category, and especially to Penny Lock for winning the Allyship Award.

and to every woman nominated and every finalist. YOU ARE ALL WINNERS. The courage to put yourself forward matters.

I loved having the NatWest Business Accelerator Cardiff friends with us.

What a night. What a community!!

What a fantastic day at The with its theme "Resilience Rock" on 20th February in Birmingham

It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many passionate entrepreneurs and to learn from their journeys.

I’m thrilled to have received the photo with Theo Paphitis s, someone I admire and respect, and to have received so much advice, guidance, and encouragement throughout the day.

Having Theo and the recognise the work we do at Apoyo Courses Ltd. Courses is a huge milestone. It’s a moment that fills me with gratitude, pride, and excitement for the next chapter of our journey.

Thank you, Theo, for your support, inspiration, and belief in small businesses; it really makes a difference.

I can’t wait to see what’s next for Apoyo Courses as we continue this journey!

It's Monday and I’m still buzzing from last Friday ✨

On Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the SBS Small Business Sunday event hosted by Theo Paphitis in Birmingham.

It was such a special experience. So many winners together, being recognised and celebrated and Courses was one of them.

The day was filled with inspiring talks, meaningful conversations, and a lovely chance to pause and reflect on our businesses.

I feel incredibly grateful to be an winner and to have been invited.

A massive thank you to Theo Paphitis , the team, and all the brilliant speakers.

A special mention to Katie Piper. Her story, strength, and resilience were very moving and unforgettable... thank you!

It was my very first time attending, and honestly… I’m already looking forward to next year 😊

One of the best parts of these events is the connections you make. It was great meeting so many new amazing entrepeneurs.

And the cherry on top?

Sharing the day with my wonderful husband, and seeing my dear friend and amazing business owner Emma Doyle from Sweet Williams there with hers. That made everything even more special. We laughed, we reminisced, and had the best catch-up.

A very special day indeed!!
