A space created for women in healthcare to breathe, rest, remember and replenish became a shared self-retreat, exploring ancestral beliefs, trauma held in the body, the power of yoga nidra, play, laughter and adventure. Thank you Samjhana Moon for sharing your wisdom and thank you .therapy for your trust, gifts and courage. Held as always by the magical land. If this sounds like your kind of medicine, drop me a hell yeah! I am leaning into the potential of hosting a retreat in September, for women who have a secret knowledge that there is more to life than their current day to day hamster wheel. 💫💕🌹💕💫 No retreat experience required, no specific job or background, purely an open heart and mind. Listen to the whispers 🌿

She messaged me at 11pm on a Tuesday.

A senior clinician. Twenty-something years in. Respected by her colleagues, devoted to her patients and absolutely running on empty.

"I know I need something to change. I just don't know where to start."

She wasn't in crisis. She was in that quiet, exhausting place so many of us know, where you're holding everything together for everyone else, and somewhere along the way, you forgot to hold anything back for yourself.

We spoke for an hour.

By the end, she wasn't sure which she needed more, space to breathe, or permission to stop pretending she didn't.

The answer, of course, was both.

If any of this resonates, whether you're carrying that quiet weight right now, or you've been putting off giving yourself the kind of care you'd never hesitate to offer a patient, I have two things for you this week.

Tomorrow night: A free webinar on the Compassionate Pause, a simple framework for saying no without guilt, stopping the auto-yes before it leaves your mouth, and reclaiming your capacity.

Practical, powerful, and deeply relevant if you work in healthcare.

I said yes to something that nearly broke me.

A colleague asked if l could cover their shift. Before I'd even thought about it, I heard myself say: "Yes, of course."

I walked away thinking: "Why did I say yes? I don't have time. I don't even want to do it."
That automatic response continued for the next 25 years, I didn't even know I was doing it.
When I did start to explore it, I began to realise that it was because I wanted to
'make people like me'
'Make people trust me'
'Show people I was committed'

💡 And here's the real light bulb moment. My automatic 'yes' wasn't coming from a place of wanting to help - well not most of the time anyway - I wasn't responding from choice.

I was responding from fear.

😨 Fear they'd think I didn't care.
😨Fear they'd see me as difficult.
😨Fear of disappointing people.
😨Fear they would think I wasn't committed
😨Fear because I was a women and had to prove that I could do it all

That automatic yes pattern? It nearly destroyed me.

🌟 But learning to pause before responding? That changed everything.

Next Thursday , 14th May at 7:30pm UK, I'm teaching the exact framework that broke that pattern. But here's what makes this different:

This isn't a lecture about boundaries.

🎥 It's a live demonstration of what happens in your body when you practice saying no with the Compassionate Pause©.

💗 You'll FEEL the difference between the automatic yes and the conscious no.
💗You'll PRACTICE with real workplace scenarios.
💗You'll WATCH me guide someone through it live when the fear and guilt show up.

Because here's what I've learned as a coach: Knowing what to do and being able to do it are completely different things.

✅ That's why this is experiential. That's why it's live. That's why it works.

The Compassionate Pause™ - Say No Without the Guilt. A Free 60-minute Live Workshop Thursday 14th May 2026 I 7:30pm UK

🎁 Those who attend live will receive The Compassionate Pause™ Framework PDF with word-for-word scripts.

❓ Why only for those who attend? Because the PDF makes no sense without experiencing the framework. The transformation happens in the doing.
