She messaged me at 11pm on a Tuesday.
A senior clinician. Twenty-something years in. Respected by her colleagues, devoted to her patients and absolutely running on empty.
"I know I need something to change. I just don't know where to start."
She wasn't in crisis. She was in that quiet, exhausting place so many of us know, where you're holding everything together for everyone else, and somewhere along the way, you forgot to hold anything back for yourself.
We spoke for an hour.
By the end, she wasn't sure which she needed more, space to breathe, or permission to stop pretending she didn't.
The answer, of course, was both.
If any of this resonates, whether you're carrying that quiet weight right now, or you've been putting off giving yourself the kind of care you'd never hesitate to offer a patient, I have two things for you this week.
Tomorrow night: A free webinar on the Compassionate Pause, a simple framework for saying no without guilt, stopping the auto-yes before it leaves your mouth, and reclaiming your capacity.
Practical, powerful, and deeply relevant if you work in healthcare.

June 7-12th - A 5-night retreat in the South of France for senior women working in healthcare who are ready for something more.
Imagine, the warmth of the sun on your skin, the scent of jasmine, stepping into a house that feels like it wraps it's arms around you and says 'Welcome home'.
Perfect to reset, refresh and remember who you are under the mask and armour, the multiple hats, some that you don't even want to wear.
A place for genuine reconnection and transformation.
Carcassonne, Les Montagne Noire, Kundalini yoga, Meditation, Coaching, Mantra, laughter.
DOORS CLOSE MIDNIGHT MONDAY
