Bit of a shout out to Booth & Bruce, who have always been very good to Bramley Pope.

They make some really lovely styles in absolutely stunning colours and the light today has really helped to show them off a bit!

Just to update this little series and to say I'm on holiday from 3pm today and I will be back on September the 8th.

Here's the part where I place the order. The glasses have been posted so the next part, where we'll see how they measure up and most importantly if they work, shouldn't be too long!

As an Optician I've spent years telling people that varifocals aren't just about putting the right prescription into a frame, that measurements and fit are important.

Today I'm going to put all that to the test and order a pair online. Let's see how it turns out!

Is price the biggest consideration when it comes to buying frames, or is value just as important?

It's not the most exciting question, granted, but it is one that you should ask yourself when you're buying your next pair of specs.

So, yeah, if you thought the step up might be a problem after the nice flat entrance in the old place, then it's not really!

I do need a couple of minutes to get it ready and as I don't get to put it out very often I'll probably get confused and put it out upside down (as I did this morning!), but I'll get there eventually and then you can come in quite easily and get your test and glasses sorted out!

Won't be open tomorrow (July 29th) as I have some things at home that need to be fixed by cleverer people than me and that's the only day I could link it all up. I'll forward the phones to my mobile though.
