It’s the last day of the month, and what better way to close July than by sharing some wonderful feedback from one of our patients? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We absolutely love receiving feedback like this. Knowing that our patients feel supported not only by the care they receive, but also by the positive atmosphere created by our team, means a great deal to us.
A huge thank you to this patient for taking the time to share their experience with us. 💚
If you've recently been under our care, we'd love to hear from you too. Please consider leaving us a Google review – your feedback helps us improve our services and gives future patients valuable insight into what they can expect from their care journey.

🎉 Today, we're celebrating a very special milestone at Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital! 🎉
A huge congratulations to Staff Nurse Emma, who is marking an incredible 30 years of service with Nuffield Health.
Emma works on our Inpatient Ward and has witnessed many changes over the years, from beginning her career at the former Chesterfield Hospital to seeing the new hospital open on the same site in 2013.
Reflecting on her time with us, Emma said: "We've had quite a lot of fun. The team keeps me going. Your workload changes over the years, and the type of work we do, but the people keep me here."
This afternoon, the Ward team came together to celebrate Emma's remarkable achievement with alcohol-free fizz and a tray of delicious cookies baked by our hospital kitchen. There were 30 cookies for 30 years of dedicated service. 🍪✨
Thank you, Emma, for your dedication, compassion and commitment over the last three decades. 💚
Here's to an amazing achievement and many more happy memories ahead!

Last week, Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital donated a large quantity of surplus and out-of-date equipment to PhysioNet - a charity that refurbishes and redistributes medical, mobility and disability equipment to people in developing countries who need it most. 🌍💚
The donation included crutches, mattresses and a wheelchair, alongside consumables such as sutures, gloves, tubing, blades, needles and single-use instruments.
By donating these items, we're helping to reduce waste, support communities around the world, and give equipment a second chance to make a difference. 📦♻️
A huge thank you to Facilities Manager Gerri Morgan for organising the donation, Hospital Director David Wynne-Jones (who is pictured), Porters Team Lead John Woods, and everyone else who helped make it happen.
Together, we're supporting a great cause while staying true to Nuffield Health's commitment to sustainability. 🌱

We recently welcomed local GPs to Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital for an educational evening with our partners at Verve Health Group.

The session explored Verve's new NHS Specialist Weight Management Service and how it is helping to improve access to medical and bariatric surgical treatments for people living with obesity, while strengthening referral pathways across primary care.

Our expert panel - consultant bariatric surgeons Alan Osborne and Dimitri Pournaras, endocrinologist Dr Kai Tan, and specialist dietitian Dafydd Wilson-Evans - shared valuable insights into the challenges facing obesity care today, including the important distinction between prevention and treatment.

A big thank you to the Verve team for leading the session and to all the GPs who attended and contributed to the discussion. 👏

⭐ It's Feedback Friday ⭐
We love hearing from our patients, and we're delighted to share this recent five-star Google review!
Feedback like this means so much to everyone across our team. It’s always rewarding to know that patients feel supported, reassured and cared for throughout their treatment journey. It's also incredibly valuable in helping us continually review and improve the services we offer.
A special thank you and well done to our nurses, Carmela and Jack, and to surgeon Mr Ian Harding, whose dedication and expertise helped make this patient's experience such a positive one. 👏

Yesterday evening we were delighted to welcome 38 local healthcare professionals, including GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths, to one of our free education events - a great turnout and a real opportunity to connect with colleagues across the community.
We were pleased to be joined by Mr Sven Putnis, Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon, who delivered an informative and engaging talk on “Navigating the different management options for osteoarthritis.” The session prompted great discussion, and feedback from attendees was extremely positive.
Our free education events are just one of the ways Nuffield Health Bristol Hospital supports the local healthcare community, including our NHS partners, by sharing knowledge, encouraging collaboration and supporting high-quality patient care.
Thank you to everyone who attended — we look forward to welcoming you to future events.
