This is why I love teaching young people about their brain, helping them understand and own their emotions, and strengthen their attention and focus

In the short term we’re lowering anxiety and building fierce self compassion, in the long term we’re creating resilient people who own their minds.

The UK government announced plans for more protections for children using AI services. This means new restrictions on chatbots that provide mental health advice.

That’s why we want to hear from you. Restrictions are a good start but there is still so much we don’t know about the human and environmental impact of generative AI (Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) and how it should be regulated. We recently launched our own independent Commission ‘Mental Health in the Age of AI’ to hear about your experiences.

We’re clear that AI tools should not replace in-person support. This is why we are campaigning for existing mental health services to provide better person-centred care.

You can help influence the decisions government make about AI. Your experiences, concerns and ideas will help us influence the decisions the Government is making about the future development and regulation of AI.

Share your thoughts and opinions on AI and mental health. Your ideas, experiences and thoughts will help us influence positive change and address potential risks posed by AI, making it safer when it comes to mental health. Your voice can help shape the future of AI and mental health. We'll use what we learn to influence Government decisions, promote positive change, and address potential risks. But one thing is clear: AI tools should not replace in-person support or human connection.

Motivation is a strange thing, it arrives AFTER action, not before because motivation follows movement.

We don’t need to feel ‘ready’ to begin because beginning is what makes us ready.
Taking positive action is something you and your hypnotherapist will talk about, about what positive action you want to take, and what works best for you.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative approach that combines a solution focused conversation with hypnosis.
We’ll talk about your strengths, skills & resources.
We’ll notice what’s already working for you.
You’ll share your hopes for your preferred future and then we’ll use hypnosis, a gentle, collaborative, trance state which feels a bit like being absorbed in a good book. As Milton Erickson (often described as the father of modern hypnosis) said,

‘You use hypnosis not as a cure, but as a means of establishing a favourable climate in which to learn.’

Sessions are tailored to you, because you are the expert in your own life, and together we explore the changes that matter most to you.

We have a children’s mental health crisis happening. It’s already a HUGE catastrophe.
Andy Burnham & Lucy Powell MP please, please:

1) Look at our education system holistically, and decide whether it’s meeting a need that actually reflects modern life. Are we creating well-rounded young people who can cope & thrive? Or are we still trying to churn out exam-passers to justify and validate the existing architecture?

2) Implement a nationwide system of teaching , , and resilience-based tools to all children aged 5yrs and over, in the regular general curriculum, as these have an EVIDENCE BASE, of developing sustainable and beneficial brain change by way of reduced anxiety, nervous system regulation, improved executive function, increased creativity, greater self-reliance, across an enormous sector of young people including SEND

…oh & employ actual mindfulness teachers to teach this, not existing classroom teachers as the pedagogy style is completely different.
(& that was a large factor in the MiSP study not delivering the success it could have)

- I’ll even help you set it up. Let’s talk ✨

Online experiences don't end when the screen turns off. They can influence how young people think, feel and interact with the world around them.

That's why digital environments need public health-informed policies and safeguards that evolve alongside technology.

There’s so much in life we don’t get to choose.
We don’t choose our genes, our upbringing, or the health and wellbeing challenges that may come our way.
These events are often out of our control, yet one choice we have, is choosing our reaction to these life events.

So often we chose to cope, managing as best as we can, and that takes certain strengths such as self compassion and maybe a sense of humour or perhaps using our ability to metaphorically putting one foot in front of the other and keep going.

We choose our resources too, by deciding what helps us be the best version of ourselves and choosing what helps us achieve our goals.

One helpful resource some people choose is to try mindfulness, or hypnotherapy.

What matters is that you choose what works for you, that you gather the tools, resources and support that will help you choose your path in becoming who you want to be.

We may not choose our starting point, but we can choose our direction.

Feel free to ask us how. Some colleagues contact details in comments.

You don't have to hit rock bottom before therapy is worth it.

In fact, more people are choosing therapy than ever before.

Our latest research shows nearly three-quarters of people who've had therapy found it helpful and most would recommend it to someone else.

That's a positive shift! Asking for support shouldn't be a last resort. It should be a normal part of looking after ourselves.

When pupils are allowed to wear PE uniforms all day on PE days...

📈 Half of girls said they felt more confident to take part

👀 A quarter of girls said they felt less anxious or worried about getting changed in front of others

✅ 6/10 said they enjoyed PE more

That’s why Women in Sport are calling on schools and Governments across the UK to introduce the policy ‘PE Uniforms all day on PE Days’.
