🎨🖌️ A little bit of creativity at Edgemont House! 🖌️🎨

Our residents had a lovely time getting creative with some painting today! 🥰 They really enjoyed choosing their colours, getting stuck in and seeing their ideas come to life.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles, plenty of concentration and lots of creativity! ❤️

Activities like this are a lovely way to encourage self-expression, reminiscence and, most importantly, having fun together. 🌈🎨

What a busy few weeks we’ve had at Edgemont House! 🥰💙

We’ve been making the most of the summer and creating lots of lovely memories with our residents. From special one-to-one days out, supporting our residents to enjoy the things they love, including shopping trips and a lovely pub lunch with a refreshing 0% beer 🍺🛍️

Back at the home, we’ve also been getting creative with decorating, making our own bookmarks 📚🎨 and celebrating World Elephant Day by making our very own elephant faces! 🐘

It’s been wonderful seeing our residents getting involved, enjoying themselves and, most importantly, having fun and doing the things that make them happy. ❤️

At Edgemont House, it’s all about creating meaningful moments, supporting individual interests and making every day count. 🥰

Here’s to many more adventures, smiles and memories together! 💙

🌞 A change of plans, but a lovely day all the same! 🌞

Unfortunately, due to the hot weather and some of our residents struggling in the heat, we made the decision to postpone today’s planned trip. The wellbeing of our residents will always come first.

Instead, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at our local pub, The Crown & Horseshoe, where we tucked into a delicious lunch and enjoyed a refreshing drink together. 🍽️🥤

Our residents and staff had such a lovely time. We absolutely love being able to take our residents out on little adventures, and having such a welcoming venue right on our doorstep means we can enjoy a pleasant walk there too.

A huge thank you to everyone at The Crown & Horseshoe for always making us feel so welcome and for treating our residents with such kindness, patience and respect. Your warm hospitality never goes unnoticed, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of our local community. ❤️

Sometimes the best memories are made from a change of plan! 😊

☀️ Keeping our residents safe, comfortable, and happy during this heatwave is our top priority. ☀️

With temperatures soaring, it’s important that everyone stays cool, hydrated, and protected from the sun. Today, our residents enjoyed a fun and refreshing way to beat the heat with paddling pools to cool their feet and lower their body temperature, along with delicious ice lollies to help keep them refreshed. 🍦💦

We have ensured the freezer is full of ice pops for our staff too who have battled the heat and continued to provide comforting care to our residents !

Simple activities like these not only help keep our residents safe in the warm weather but also bring plenty of smiles, laughter, and enjoyment throughout the day.

We’re continuing to encourage regular drinks, cool environments, and plenty of opportunities to stay comfortable while making the most of the sunshine safely. 🌞❤️

☀️ What a lovely way to cool down on a hot day! 🍦

Today our residents enjoyed making their very own ice cream, choosing their favourite flavours and toppings before sitting back and enjoying the delicious results. 😋

With the sunshine and warm weather, we also spent some time relaxing in the garden, making the most of the fresh air while keeping cool in the shade. 🌳💚

Lots of smiles and tasty treats made for a wonderful summer afternoon! ☀️🍦😊
