🧩🌈✨Autism is Genetic?🤔🤨

🥹 I am deeply troubled by the recent institutional statements reducing autism to a purely genetic inevitability. Telling parents “it’s just the way they are born” shuts the door on understanding the live, physiological root causes.

🌈✨ Lived experience and neurodevelopmental science show that genes express dynamically based on the load placed on the body [Sandin et al., 2014].

😵‍💫 When an infant’s sensitive system faces a perfect storm of early physical stress, metabolic drops, and nervous system trauma, it retreats into a protective, non-responsive freeze to survive [Porges, 2021; Van der Kolk, 2014].

🥰 My own daughter's journey—from profound regression to a magnificent university graduation—proves that when you stop looking at a static behavioural label and start clearing the cellular static, real recovery is possible.

🌈✨🧩 Our children are not defective; they are intensely sensitive systems that can be supported to thrive. Let’s change the narrative. ❤️💫

Turning Lived Trauma into a Legacy of Hope ❤️

📖📘I’ve spent all afternoon and this evening stepping back in time through the pages of old medical ledgers, piecing together the timeline of my daughter Farrah’s early years for Chapter 2 of my book.

📖 🩺 Re-reading the official clinical notes from those intense hospital visits, the sudden winter fevers, and the moments where her early babble vanished can still bring up emotions.

🥹 As a mother, standing by a hospital bedside feeling completely powerless is the deepest, darkest pit imaginable. But looking back now with decades of experiences and training, I can see that every single step of that terrifying storm was being purposefully guided. 🙏🏻💫

🧩I was gathering the exact puzzle pieces we needed to eventually clear the confusion and find our way through to Farrah’s life as it is now - a university graduate living independently and lots more. 🌈✨

🧩🥹 To every parent sitting by a bedside tonight or feeling overwhelmed by the day or celebrating a new milestone shift and at the same time totally exhausted: you are doing a fantastic job and you are not alone. When we look at the root causes and address these, the impossible becomes entirely possible.

💫So much is being revealed in past medical records and notes and calendars and diaries as evidence for me to have write this Chapter 2; as valuable artefacts that can uncover what autism actually is - so keep everything, diary as much as you can and always go with your gut feeling - it’s always right! 🥰❤️

🙏🏻🌹💫Trust the Process! 🌹💫🙏🏻

🧩✨ Talk about a profound moment of alignment and tracking the data!🌹💫

💫 Yesterday, an Occupational Therapist left a beautiful comment on my post about completing the first chapter of my book, "Can't wait to read it!"

✨ Further inspired by that connection, I spent the late hours diving deep into the archives I have been saving over the past 30 years.

😲 Lo and behold, I unearthed an official NHS Occupational Therapy report for Farrah that had been tucked away!

💫🌹 When I looked down at the signature date, my jaw dropped. It was signed on the 2nd of September 2004. Exactly 20 years ago tomorrow. 🕒📜

🧐 Reading it today through the lens of my training in RMTi and neurodevelopmental movement, the official clinical pen has completely verified what my maternal intuition believed all along! 🥰

🕰️Twenty years ago, the specialists explicitly documented the exact unintegrated primitive reflex locks —like the Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR)—that prove her nervous system was operating in a protective survival "Safe Mode" from her earliest weeks of life [Sandin et al., 2024; Sohn et al., 2011].

💃💫 To celebrate this full-circle moment, I have officially polished and put back on my silver "missing piece of the puzzle" anchor necklace, which has sat in its box for years.

😶‍🌫️ The fog has cleared, the routine is back, the science is watertight, and the timing is absolutely perfect.

📖 Chapter 1 is sealed, and Chapter 2 is officially underway! 🌟🌈🔬
