The 5-Minute Habit That Protects Your Muscle After 35
As a Personal Trainer, the biggest barrier I hear from overworked professionals is time.
Between 10-hour workdays, family commitments, and endless screen time, finding an hour for the gym feels impossible.
But muscle preservation doesn't require living in the gym. It requires giving your body a regular reason to stay strong.
Here is a 5-minute micro-routine you can do before touching your phone or making morning coffee:
1️⃣ 10 Sit-to-Stands: Sit on the edge of a chair/bed, stand up without using your hands, sit back down. 2️⃣ 10 Wall or Counter Push-Ups: Great for upper body pressing power and shoulder health. 3️⃣ 20-Second Core Hold: Plank on your knees or forearm counter lean.
Perform 2 rounds.
Total time: 5 minutes. Impact: Protects metabolic health, joint stability, and daily energy.
Stop waiting for "free time" to get active. Build the habit into your existing morning routine.
