🐾 It’s National Dog Day! 🐶💙
Dogs aren’t just loyal companions—they’re also amazing for our mental health. From lowering stress and anxiety to encouraging exercise and boosting connection, our four-legged friends bring comfort and joy when we need it most.

Today, we celebrate the unconditional love and the numerous benefits that dogs bring us every day. 🐕✨

Here's one from our very own IT and Office Admin:

'I adopted my French Bulldog, Wilbur, as an emotional support animal.
Since then, he has been with me through many ups and downs. He has become my little shadow, always begging for treats and attention, snoring the house down, and keeping me afloat when the world gets a little too much.'

We are excited to announce that we are recruiting new volunteers for our emotional support helpline, Bristol Mindline! All our volunteers undertake training in active listening - full details of our next training dates can be found on bristolmindline.org.uk. People choose to volunteer for Bristol Mindline for many reasons: to learn new skills, support your local community, and meet fellow volunteers who share your values. Here's what one of our volunteers had to say:

"I feel privileged that people put their trust in me and the wider team and proud that we can support so many people in the community. Every shift is different. Many calls are challenging. But to be able to support in that moment is so very rewarding and humbling. As a volunteer, I have felt completely supported by Mindline employees and the wider team of volunteers. It is a safe space with continuous learning and reflection"

There's , and then there's !

We are your local, independent mental health charity!
For over 20 years, we have been supported by and have served our community in the fight for better mental health.

As an independently funded charity, we can only exist through our clients, community, and local partners.
Every penny raised, mile run, and song sung aids one of your neighbours who needs a helping hand.

The final whistle has blown... but your well-being deserves some extra time.

Over the weeks, we've celebrated goals, tackled challenges, and experienced highs and lows.

Why not channel some of that energy into your mental health with some new goals?

We can all hear the ongoing noise of fear and division.

This refugee week’s theme is courage. Courage in the face of this all too familiar noise and courage through community.

Everyone deserves to feel safe and mentally healthy, particularly those who have risked everything to find it. We are proud to support those seeking sanctuary in our city on their journey to better mental health.

This week we are honoured to bring you a continuation of our Asylum World in a Frame exhibition, this will be displayed in the foyer of City Hall between 16 and 18 June 2026, from 10am to 4pm. Through photography and personal storytelling, they have captured moments of challenge, uncertainty, connection, and joy — offering perspectives on life in the asylum system that are too often unheard. These are their stories.

This exhibition was created in collaboration with , Hope Service, BRASP members, including Pride Without Borders, and led by our Lived Experience Advocates alongside artist Aida Silvestri.
