Here's what you need to know about Lewis, our newest chiropractor 👋

He graduated with a distinction in Master of Chiropractic (MChiro) from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and has five years of clinical experience working with patients dealing with back pain, neck pain, joint pain, and minor sports injuries.

As a former rugby player and competitive swimmer, Lewis knows what it feels like when an injury gets in the way of the things you love. That experience shapes how he approaches every patient.

His sessions combine chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation, giving patients the tools to stay on top of their recovery long after they leave the clinic.

You haven't slipped a disc 🙅

It's one of the most common things we hear in clinic, but the term is actually a myth.

Spinal discs are made of tough fibrous cartilage and are firmly embedded into the vertebrae above and below. They physically cannot slip in and out of place.

What does happen is that discs can bulge or develop small tears over time, allowing some of the inner gel-like material to press against nearby nerves or the spinal cord. That's a disc herniation and while it can cause real symptoms, it's not always the emergency people assume it is.
